True Blood is being rebooted at HBO!

Sources are telling Variety that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Jami O’Brien will write the script and executive produce and the original show’s creator Alan Ball will executive produce.

The show debuted on HBO in 2008 and starred Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard, Joe Manganiello, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, and Rutina Wesley. Unfortunately, at this time, none of the original cast is set to return at this time. We hope that changes!

The show ran for seven seasons on HBO. So far, there has been no official word from HBO about this news, but stay tuned as we find out more.

This news has unfortunately reminded us of the tragic death of one of the stars of True Blood, Nelsan Ellis. RIP.

Claire Danes cozies up with husband Hugh Dancy at the premiere of the final season of Homeland, held at Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday night (February 4) in New York City.

The two actors and married couple joined their co-stars on the red carpet ahead of the final season premiere of the Showtime show.

Morena Baccarin, Mandy Patinkin, Jason Tottenham, Numan Acar, Amy Hargreaves, Navid Negahban, Linus Roache, Costa Ronin, Sam Trammell, Sitara Attaie, Andrea Deck, Jackson Pace and Morgan Saylor are also pictured below at the event.

The final season of Homeland is set to have just 12 episodes and will premiere on February 9. See the final trailer here!

The two actors starred together in Hospitality a few years ago, a movie about a woman who must protect her son when a man brings trouble to her isolated bed and breakfast.

Earlier over the weekend, Emmanuelle shared a pretty image of some flowers she received.

Most recently, Emmanuelle appeared as Vanessa Hudgens‘ sister in Netflix’s The Knight Before Christmas.

Josh Duhamel is all smiles as he hits the carpet at the premiere of USA Network’s Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. held at Avalon on Thursday (February 22) in Hollywood.

The 45-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Marcc Rose, Bokeem Woodbine, Wavyy Jonez, Jimmi Simpson, Liana Mendoza, David Bianchi, writer Kyle Long and director Anthony Hemingway.

Also in attendance to show their support were Regina King, Aldis Hodge, Sam Trammell, Christopher Meloni, Queer Eye‘s Karamo Brown, Busta Rhymes, Mopreme Shakur and Jimmi‘s girlfriend Sophia Del Pizzo.

“What I wanted to do and what I think they did a great job of was figuring out how and sort of unpacking what these families went through, losing these two,” Josh expressed about the series (via E!). “Yeah, they were great artists, but they were also sons…and they had a lot of people around them who truly loved them, and how that affected them. And not only that, but how it affected the people who were investigating it.”

Elisabeth Moss and Jon Hamm had themselves a mini Mad Men reunion as they happily posed for photograph while attending Hulu’s 2017 Emmy After Party at Otium on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

Elisabeth won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on The Handmaid’s Tale during the big ceremony.

Jon‘s Mad Men character, Dick Whitman aka Don Draper, was given a shout-out by Sterling K. Brown after his big win for This Is Us. “This joint right here, like Walter White held this joint here. Kate Walsh keeps it cute and casual as she hits the green carpet while attending the world premiere of The Aftermath held at The TCL Chinese 6 Theatres on Sunday (May 31) in Hollywood.

The 47-year-old actress was joined at the event by John Slattery and the stars of the flick Sam Trammell and his wife Missy Yager.

Executive producer Brian Buckner talked about Sookie’s reaction to Alcide’s death during the panel.

“When people die in your life, you don’t always see it coming,” he said (via THR). “I don’t mean to be defensive, but I kind of feel like we’re honoring those characters. That was what the episode this past weekend was about. You don’t get to mourn before it happens.”
