Saturday Night Live has seen so many fantastic guest stars over its nearly 50 year run – but not everyone is exactly welcome back to Studio 8H.
From controversial performers who managed to do something shocking on stage to actors and comedians who had confrontations on and off-screen, there are some stars along the way who have done or said something controversial enough to be banned from hosting or performing on the show ever again.
Some stars of Saturday Night Live are causing a lot of speculation on social media!
Following the season finale of the long-running sketch comedy show on Saturday night (May 22), fans began to worry that several major players on the series might be signaling their goodbyes.
Following the episode, several major names started trending as potential castmates leaving the show.
There are some stars who have made it clear they’re staying, including Michael Che, who said he’s “99.9″ percent sure he’s coming back on The View recently.
Many others, however, seemed to hint at their departure.
The show’s cold open kicked off with the show’s longest-running players, who almost all teared up while speaking.
“This is a year when we realized we are more than just a cast, we are a family,” Kate said, tearing up.
Later on during Weekend Update, Pete said: “I’m very grateful to be here, and it has been an honor to grow up in front of you guys.”
In the same segment, Cecily played Judge Jeanine Pirro and closed out the segment with a performance of “My Way,” singing the sign-off: “I did it my way.”
“I hear nothing is final yet but even if just a few of the long-time eight cast members leave, we would have one of the biggest cast overhauls in SNL history,” a Deadline insider noted of the rumblings of multiple departures.
Lil Nas X had a major wardrobe malfunction live on SNL last night during his musical guest performance.
While performing “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” he went to do some pole dancing, but he stopped short and put his hand over his crotch. It was at this moment that Lil Nas X seemingly split the crotch of his pants open.

During the season finale of Saturday Night Live on Saturday (May 22), the 27-year-old cast member appeared during the Weekend Update segment to take a jab at the 35-year-old cookbook author.
It all started when Pete poked fun at SNL, comparing it to AIDS, saying, “It’s still here, it’s just no one’s gotten excited about it since the ’90s.”
Pete then started talking about the pandemic, where he joked, “”If there’s one good thing about the pandemic besides getting Chrissy Teigen out of our lives…”
Pete‘s comments about Chrissy comes after Courtney Stodden revealed in an interview that Chrissy sent them a DM on Twitter back in 2011 telling them to “kill” themself.
After facing major backlash, Chrissy took to Twitter to issue an apology to Courtney, saying, “I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.” You can read Chrissy‘s full apology here.
Since issuing the apology, Chrissy has been silent on all social media.
