16 years after The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants came out in theaters, Blake Lively reunited with one of her co-stars to celebrate the Fourth of July together.

Two of the stars of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants rang in 2021 together!

America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn created a “coronavirus” pod with their families to celebrate New Year’s Eve all together on Thursday night (December 31).

Amber, 37, took to her Instagram to share a video while dancing and singing in festive hats with America, 36.

“We laughed. We cried. We shared a pod. And got our kids down by 8pm,” Amber captioned the post. “And ate pizza and brownies. And drank a considerable amount of cocktails. And threw ourselves a prom in the storage unit of our basement so we wouldn’t wake up said kids.”

“And sang Zhané at the top of our lungs like wild teenagers,” she continued. “And in the morning begged our husbands to get up with the kids so we could sleep off the hangover. (Okay, maybe only I did that.) #SisterhoodOfTheTravelingPod #2021″

America also shared a few photos of herself partying in her basement right before the clock struck midnight.

“1 hour left 2020!!! Then you gots to get the steppin!” America wrote on Instagram. “Happy New Year from our basement dance party 😘”

After starring in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants back in 2005 and the sequel in 2008, America and Amber have stayed super close with their co-stars Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel and still hang out all the time.

Last year, Amber revealed which actress gets the “most lit” when they all hang out!

Amber Tamblyn was asked which The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star gets the most lit when they go out together and she answered!

“Oh, moi” she told the audience during her Watch What Happens Live appearance on Wednesday (January 15). “It’s always, like, Blake [Lively] with her 6-foot self, like, carrying me like a prince coming out of anywhere we’re at.”

Andy Cohen then asked if the cast goes out a lot, and she said, between Blake, America Ferrera, and Alexis Bledel, she sees America the most.

“I mean, I go out the most with America. She’s the love of my life. She’s my best friend. But, the other girls too, when we’re all together…That’s the great thing about really good friendships is you can go a whole year without seeing someone and it’s like you’re right back in that same moment,” Amber added.

We don’t often see photos of the cast together but they did have a fun hangout a few years ago!

This is awesome news for fans of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies and books!

A stage musical based on the popular franchise is in the works, though not many details are known just yet.

Blue Spruce Productions, led by 10-time Tony Award-winning producer Scott Delman, has acquired the live theatrical rights to the property.

Alcon Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment, the co-producers of the movies, have the option to invest in and co-produce the stage show, according to THR.

We hope that Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel will be involved somehow!

Alexis Bledel hit Jimmy Fallon‘s couch on The Tonight Show on Thursday (April 26) and shared some exciting news about the The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants franchise!

The 36-year-old Emmy-winning actress may be getting back together with her longtime BFFs Blake Lively, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn after all. Alexis confirmed to Jimmy that a third Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie has been pitched.

“We just pitched a third movie,” Alexis revealed. “I hope it comes together. It would be so great. I would love it. It would be the best thing.”

Alexis Bledel is speaking out about the possibility of a third movie in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants franchise, which she hopes happens one day.

The 36-year-old Emmy-winning actress starred in the films alongside her longtime BFFs Blake Lively, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn.

“We want it to happen, I really hope so,” Alexis told ET about a possible third film. “It keeps kind of coming up and we’re really trying to make it happen. So, I really hope so.”

Blake‘s husband Ryan Reynolds even references the films in the trailer for his upcoming movie Deadpool 2.

“Doing the right thing is messy, but if you want to fight for what’s right, sometimes you have to fight dirty,” Ryan says while in character. “And that is why Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is straight-up pornography.”

The four stars of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants – Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Blake Lively – reunited to ring in the new year and celebrate America’s pregnancy!

The ladies are also advocating for the Time’s Up movement.

“Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood. We’ve got work to do for the next generation. Let’s get to it. #TIMESUP,” America captioned a photo on Instagram, in which her sisters are resting hands on her baby bump.

Amber posted the same photo and said, “Didn’t think anything could beat starting off the new year with the #TIMESUP Legal Defense Fund initiative yesterday, but then…”
