RuPaul Deletes Social Media Accounts

It looks like RuPaul is taking some time away from the Internet.

The 59-year-old host of RuPaul’s Drag Race caught fans’ attention on Thursday (July 2) when her official Instagram and Twitter accounts suddenly went missing.

Her Instagram, which commanded over 4.2 million followers, is now cleared out, and her Twitter account with over 1 million followers now does not exist.

The reason for her abrupt exit from social media is not yet known, but she is still appearing regularly on TV: Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is currently airing every week on VH1.

Earlier in the day, this actor spoke out on social media and said he’d love to hang out with RuPaul.

Vine Creators Unveil New 6-Second Video App Called Byte

Vine 2.0 is here!

The creators of the famous former app just released their new one, called Byte.

“dear friends, today we’re bringing back 6-second looping videos and a new community for people who love them,” the app’s Twitter account shared this afternoon. “it’s called byte and it’s both familiar and new. we hope it’ll resonate with people who feel something’s been missing.”

The app is also looking for feedback on the new venture, and launched a community forum to gather ideas and suggestions from users to improve Byte.

Vine, which launched the careers of Cameron Dallas, Lele Pons, Nash Grier and more, shut down in 2017.
