Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, sit on a straw bale while speaking to press during an event ahead of the weekend in London, England.
The longtime married Earl and Countess made a visit to Vauxhall City where they took part in feeding the animals and witnessing the farm’s community engagement and education programmes in action.
Just a few days later, Sophie was seen running in the virtual London Marathon on Sunday (October 4) in Windsor.
She joined Tomas Cardillo-Zallo, a member of Mencap’s Learning Disability Running team, with mum Sue acting as his guide runner, for the first 1.5 miles of their run.
“It was an honour to join Tomas even just for a small part of his triumph today, as he completes the virtual London Marathon in support of Mencap,” Sophie shared in a statement about the experience. “Tomas has shown what people with a learning disability can achieve with the right support. He is an inspiration!”
Sophie has been the patron of Mencap since 2004.
Just last month, Edward and Sophie took part in the Great Beach Clean event with their chlidren, Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn. See the pics of the family of four here…
