'The Sopranos' Cast Has Reunion at MTV VMAs 2019!

The cast of The Sopranos reunites at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards!

Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Vincent Pastore, and Drea de Matteo took the stage at the event held on Monday (August 26) at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

They presented Best Pop Video to the Jonas Brothers for “Sucker.”

“Tonight was no fun at all. 🥰,” Jamie-Lynn captioned the Instagram photo below. “Thanks for having us @vmas also @jonasbrothers 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽.”

Corey Stoll & Billy Magnussen Join Cast of 'Sopranos' Prequel Film!

Corey Stoll and Billy Magnussen are joining the cast of the upcoming Sopranos prequel movie, The Many Saints of Newark!

The 42-year-old and 33-year-old actors will be joining Alessandro Nivola, Jon Bernthal and Vera Farmiga in the cast, Variety confirmed on Tuesday (January 15).

The film is set during the Newark riots in the 1960s, and is said to be a look at the formative years of New Jersey gangster, Tony Soprano.

Series creator David Chase co-wrote the script with producer Lawrence Konner. Alan Taylor is set to direct.

'Sopranos' Movie Prequel Is In the Works!

The Sopranos was a hit HBO show that aired on HBO from 1999 – 2007, and now, the TV series will be getting a movie prequel!

The movie was written by Sopranos creator David Chase, as well as Lawrence Konner.

Variety reports that the film is “set in the era of the Newark riots in the 60s, when African-Americans and Italians were adversaries.” Some of the fan favorite characters from the series will return, though no further details were provided.

The Sopranos starred the late James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, Lorraine Bracco, Jamie Lynn Sigler, and more.
