It looks like Supergirl could use some help!

New photos from the set of The CW show’s final season show Melissa Benoist and her co-stars tied up during a scene shot on Tuesday (March 30) in Vancouver, Canada.

Melissa, who plays the title character, was joined on set by co-stars Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Nicole Maines, and Jesse Rath.

In a new interview with EW, Melissa opened up about the one request she had when producers asked her how she wanted Kara Zor-El’s journey to end.

“They pitched it to me because they wanted to know if I had any input as to where I wanted to see Kara ending up at the end of the series,” she said. “I had one request, and it wasn’t even something they were thinking about doing. They pitched me the end, and it’s really lovely. It’s a great ending. I feel fantastic about it.”

The final season of the Melissa Benoist-led show will consist of 20 episodes, and will premiere sometime in 2021.

The new season of Supergirl is not part of The CW’s schedule in January, and will arrive whenever midseason 2021 is for the network.

“The move was designed to allow production to resume after leading lady Benoist returned from maternity leave,” THR reported.

“The decision to wrap the series arrives a year after The CW parted ways with Arrow, the show that ushered the younger-focused broadcaster into the world of DC Comics and launched a massive franchise. The move also means that The CW, a joint venture between CBS TV Studios and Warner Bros. TV, will say farewell to Supernatural and Supergirl this season.”

Melissa Benoist opened up about the show’s ending in a post.

She also recently got candid about her pregnancy, and the state the world. Here’s what she had to say…
