“I wish I would have known that they have a full-on wardrobe department, and that I would be submitting different clothes to be chosen for me to wear on the show. I wish I had known that if I submitted jean shorts, they would of course pick jean shorts because I was labeled ‘the farmer’s daughter’ and farmers only wear jean shorts,” she explained.

“I would then also in any returning seasons have to wear the jean shorts so that people would recognize me. Had I known all of this, I wouldn’t have submitted jean shorts, because they’re not a very good material,” she continued.

“They don’t hold water well – they do actually hold water well. They don’t keep you warm, and they don’t protect against bugs.”

Her video has already received over 2 million views, and over 350,000 likes.

'Survivor' Season 41 Is Back in Production in Fiji After A Year of Delays

Survivor is restarting production on their upcoming 41st season!

Revealed by host and exec producer Jeff Probst, the series will head back into production shortly in the tropical country.

“Fiji has invited us back to their beautiful country to shoot season 41. We have all of our Covid protocols in place so that everybody in Fiji will remain safe, all of our crew will be safe and of course our players will be safe. I can’t remember a time when I’ve been this pumped to shoot Survivor. The past year has reminded me and I hope it’s reminded you that you got to live your life like it’s one big great adventure and Survivor fulfils that so I am thrilled to say I will see you on the island for Survivor 41. Let’s do it,” Jeff shared in a video he posted to his Twitter feed.

The season was originally postponed in March of 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic overtook the world.

The plan was for the CBS challenge series to get underway in May and hoped for a fall premiere, but the pandemic was still in play.

If you missed it, one past Survivor player says that the show needs to be radically reinvented.

'Survivor's Spencer Bledsoe Says The Show Needs To Be 'Radically Re-Invented'

Former Survivor contestant Spencer Bledsoe is speaking out about the show he was on for two seasons and ripping how it seems like it’s the same thing over and over again.

Spencer competed on two seasons of the show – Cagayan and Cambodia – and when speaking with Entertainment Weekly, shared that he truly thinks the show needs to be radically re-invented.

Survivor needs to be radically re-invented,” he said. “It can be so much more than the hodge-podge of advantages that it devolved into during seasons 34-39…”

Spencer continued, adding some ideas he has to give the show a fresh life: “To overcome this long dark age, though, it’s going to take a lot: I’m talking about taking all advantages out, taking all manufactured drama and twist-y-ness out, and refocusing on characters, personalities and journeys.”

“I’m talking about a season where there is no voting for the first few weeks, or where tribes have to actually create their own structures and/or mechanisms for voting, elect leaders and form worlds.”

He went on, “The ‘game’ of it isn’t very interesting anymore. It is counting. Counting on steroids, but nonetheless, counting. I’m tired of non-stop counting with the only reprieve from counting being moments like Cirie being eliminated by too many advantages to… count…the strategy of Survivor… gets old.”

'Survivor' Production Halted on Season 41; 'Amazing Race' Takes Over Time Slot on Fall Schedule

Survivor has been delayed again due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Variety reports that the season 41 premiere of the mega-popular reality competition series will be delayed and production has been halted on the show.

Survivor‘s producers are currently working with officials in Fiji, where the show films, on when production can safely start up again as “health and safety matters the top priority for everyone involved.”

Survivor will be replaced on the Fall 2020-2021 schedule at CBS on The Amazing Race, which has a full season ready to air. Filming on that program was finished before the pandemic hit many shows and stopped their production. It was originally postponed for a later date.

The Amazing Race will air Wednesdays at 9/8c on the network.

Survivor was first delayed in March.

Black 'Survivor' Alums Call Out The Show For Racial Stereotypes

Ramona Gray Amaro is opening up about the treatment of Black contestants on Survivor.

During an interview with NPR, Ramona and other Black contestants spoke about their experiences on the show and she specifically remembered how she was the first Black woman on the competition series.

“We can’t swim…we butt heads, we’re athletic, but maybe not smart and strategic,” she recalled of the stereotypes the Black contestants were labeled as. “I’m just saying, ‘Do right by us.”

Ramona also recalled that as she was labeled as lazy on the show, when in reality she was very dehydrated.

“I became the lazy person, which is the furthest thing from the truth,” she says. “That really upset me, and it took me a long time to get over it. …To realize, we signed our life away. They can do whatever they want to do.”

Ramona, along with many other Black contestants have advocated for the show to put changes in place.

Their requests include to hire more people of color both in front of and behind the scenes, enforce a zero tolerance policy for racist acts, and avoid creating storylines for non-white contestants that play to racial stereotypes, among others.

Earlier this month, another reality series was called out by one of their own for not representing Black people.
