Jake Johnson shows off his physique while attempting to fish with his bare hands in the first trailer for his new movie, Ride The Eagle.

Here’s a summary of the movie: When Leif’s estranged mother Honey dies she leaves him a ‘conditional inheritance’.

But, before he can move into her picturesque Yosemite cabin, he has to complete her elaborate, and sometimes dubious, to-do list.

Leif and Nora, his canine BFF, step into Honey’s wild world as she tries to make amends from beyond the grave in this hilarious and heartfelt comedy.

Jake stars alongside Susan Sarandon as Honey, D’Arcy Carden as Audrey and J.K. Simmons as Carl in the flick.

Written and also produced by Jake, Ride The Eagle will be out in theaters and on digital on July 30.

The film has a star-studded cast that also includes Bobby Cannavale, Jai Courtney, Laverne Cox, David Bradley, Ori Pfeffer, Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci.

Here’s the synopsis: Lindy is a beautiful, sardonically-funny woman with a painful secret: Due to a lifelong, rare neurological disorder, she experiences sporadic rage-filled, murderous impulses that can only be stopped when she shocks herself with a special electrode device. Unable to find love and connection in a world that fears her bizarre condition, she finally trusts a man long enough to fall in love, only to find him murdered the next day. Heartbroken and enraged, she embarks on a revenge-filled mission to find his killer, while also being pursued by the police as the crime’s prime suspect.

Susan Sarandon pulls Geena Davis in for a kiss at the screening of their iconic movie, Thelma & Louise!

The two stars of the movie stepped out for the event on Friday (June 18) in partnership with Cinespia’s Drive In at The Greek in Los Angeles, and even wore matching shirts to the screening.

The screening was held in honor of the movie’s 30th anniversary and a portion of the drive-in event proceeds will benefit the LA Regional Food Bank and The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.

If you’re unfamiliar, Thelma & Louise follows the accidental titular outlaws on a desperate flight across the Southwest. With a determined detective on their trail, a sweet-talking hitchhiker in their path and a string of crimes in their wake, their journey alternates between high-speed thrill ride and empowering personal odyssey.

Susan and Geena reunited last year in celebration of the movie, too.

Susan Sarandon is looking back at her time on set with Brad Pitt.

The 74-year-old actress starred in Ridley Scott‘s film Thelma and Louise alongside Brad in 1991 in what was one of his first major film roles.

Susan reflected on the success of the movie and what it was like working with Brad in an interview with Extra on Friday (June 11).

Susan Sarandon wants to date someone – and she has a requirement!

The 74-year-old actress is looking for someone with a coronavirus vaccination, she said on the latest episode of Dear Media’s Divorced Not Dead podcast with host Caroline Stanbury.

“Someone who’s been vaccinated for COVID,” she said of who she’s looking for.

“I don’t care if it’s a man or a woman. I mean, I’m open to all age, all color. And those for me, those things are just details. But what I’m interested in is someone who wants to be adventuresome.”

She also said she’d like someone who “is passionate about what they do.”

“They could be a school teacher, or they could be a writer or they could be successful or not successful…somebody who owns themselves and isn’t gonna be intimidated by people coming up to [me] on the street and saying, ‘Oh my God, I love you.’”

She also said she’s just fine on her own.

“I’m kind of getting off on being by myself. I think I’m pretty open to the idea of being with someone, but, you know, it certainly would take someone extraordinary to share my medicine cabinet at this point. I think that that those days are over.”

Susan Sarandon wears a bright red mask while out and about in New York City on Friday afternoon (January 8).

The 74-year-old actress was seen walking around the neighborhood with good friend and actress Jessica Lange, 71.

Both stars were bundled up to protect from the cold, and during their outing, were seen aiding the homeless and giving out some money to get them through the day.

Jessica and Susan were also spotted helping an elderly woman on a wheelchair.

Earlier this week, Susan used her platform to voice her thoughts about the Capitol riots and called the rioters “terrorists”, and earlier today, joined many others to tell Congress to remove Donald Trump from office.

Susan was one of the many celebrities who endorsed Bernie Sanders in the Presidential election.

The two stars were joined by many others in celebrating the film, which debuted in 1991, almost 30 years ago.

Speaking with Vanity Fair for the 25th anniversary of the film, Geena opened up about always being asked if there would be a sequel to the movie.

“People ask me, ‘Is there going to be a sequel?’ And I’m like, ‘What the heck do you think happened to them?!‘” she shared, referencing the ending of the movie, where they drove off a cliff.

Susan and Geena most recently reunited at the 2018 SAG Awards.
