Not every actor likes to see themselves on the big screen – but some don’t even like to remember that they participated in a production altogether.
Over the years, many different stars have revealed in various magazine interviews and through assorted podcast and TV appearances that they don’t always love the movie and TV roles they took on in the past…even if the roles might be some of their most iconic and memorable works to date.
Sometimes, the stars have doubts about their performance. Or, they had poor experiences with their co-stars or directors. And in other cases, they just decided that the script wasn’t all that good looking back. In any case, they’ve all since come out and said they don’t necessarily love their appearances in certain films and TV shows.
The 74-year-old actor was spotted out and about with his 24-year-old daughter on Monday (May 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Sylvester wore a black t-shirt with some bright coral pants as they ran some errands together, pairing the look with brown boat shoes.
Sophia opted for a gray plaid flannel layered over a ribbed white top with some light washed jeans. She completed her look with a matching gray Yankees cap.
The pair were seen shopping for jewelry together and then later in the day stopped to grab some lunch at Mulberry Pizzeria.
“I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn’t coming back for this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there’s always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis,” Michael shared.
“But this is a Creed franchise, and we really want to build this story and this world around him moving forward,” Michael continued. “So, it’s always respect and always a shit-ton of love for what he’s built, but we really want to push and navigate Adonis forward and the family that he created. So, hopefully you guys will love what I’m thinking… what we’re cooking up. I think it’s going to be something special.”
Several weeks ago, Michael B. Jordan confirmed that he will not only just be reprising his role as Adonis “Donnie” Johnson Creed in the upcoming third movie, but he will also be directing it!
For a while now fans have been wondering if the 74-year-old actor will be reprising his role as Rocky Balboa, and he has finally confirmed that he will not be back for Creed III.
Earlier this week, a fan asked Sylvester on Instagram if he was coming back for the movie, and Sylvester responded, saying, “It will be done but I won’t be in it. Keep punching.”
Then on Tuesday (April 6), Sylvester‘s rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he won’t be in Creed III, but didn’t give an explanation as to why.
Creed III will mark the directorial debut for Michael. The film is scheduled to be released on Nov. 23, 2022.
The upcoming film, directed by Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn, features a ton of superstars and familiar faces from 2016′s Suicide Squad, including Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.
John Cena‘s Peacemaker is also in the film, and he is getting his own HBO Max spinoff.
Here’s a plot summary: “Welcome to hell—a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and-destroy mission with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave…and Amanda Waller’s government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. And as always, one wrong move and they’re dead (whether at the hands of their opponents, a teammate, or Waller herself). If anyone’s laying down bets, the smart money is against them—all of them.”
