The Nun, the film focusing on one of the scary characters from The Conjuring 2, has debuted its first trailer.

If you don’t like jump scares…this is not a trailer you should watch! But if you love scary movies, definitely watch through until the end.

Here’s a synopsis: When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in “The Conjuring 2,” as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, and Jonas Bloquet star in the film, in theaters September 7.

Fun fact: Taissa‘s older sister is Vera Farmiga, who starred in The Conjuring movies!

Hilary Swank is all smiles while hitting the carpet at the premiere of her latest film What They Had held during the 2018 Sundance Film Festival at Eccles Center Theatre on Sunday (January 21) in Park City, Utah.

The 43-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Michael Shannon, Taissa Farmiga, Blythe Danner, and first time writer-director Elizabeth Chomko.

That same day, Hilary and Michael promoted What They Had at The IMDb Studio and The IMDb Show on Location at The Sundance Film Festival.

What They Had is being billed as a family-in-crisis drama, according to Deadline: Bridget (Hilary) returns home to Chicago at her brother’s (Michael) urging to deal with her ailing mother (Blythe) and her father’s (Robert Forster) reluctance to let go of their life together.

Taissa Farmiga is following in the footsteps of her older sister Vera Farmiga.

The 22-year-old actress is set to star in The Nun, which is a spinoff of The Conjuring franchise, according to Deadline.

If you remember, Vera starred in the original thriller.

Taissa will play the young nun alongside Demian Bichir.

You probably recognize her best as her roles in three different seasons of American Horror Story.

The Nun is actually the second spinoff after Annabelle.

Mark your calendars – it will hit theaters on Friday the 13th in July 2018.

Lily Collins went for a strapless look while helping the Casting Society of America honor casting in film, TV, and theater.

The 27-year-old actress hit the red carpet at the 2017 Annual Artios Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (January 19) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

She was joined by American Horror Story‘s Taissa Farmiga and Black-ish‘s Yara Shahidi, who also opted for black and white-themed outfits.

Jennifer Lawrence revealed the moment she knew she was famous.

The 26-year-old Oscar winner opened up about it during her recent appearance on Chelsea Handler‘s Netflix show Chelsea.

“When Paul Rudd told me he thought we would always be friends,” Jennifer said. “I was like, ‘When people look back and wonder what happened, when she changed, when it all got destroyed,’ it will be right here, at this moment. Because I have always looked at Paul Rudd and thought we’d be friends.”

Ryan Murphy got a huge honor at The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast and he had tons of people there to support him!

Actresses from Ryan‘s television series including Lea Michele, Taissa Farmiga, Jane Lynch, Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon and Niecy Nash all stepped out at the award ceremony on Monday (December 7) in Hollywood.

Ryan was being honored with the Equity in Entertainment Award for his commitment to inclusion of women and people of color in the entertainment industry.

“Truly inspired after this morning’s amazing event. Thank you @THR & a huge Congrats to my friend Ryan Murphy for today’s incredible honor,” Lea wrote on her Twitter after the event.
