First Photos from G.I. Joe Movie 'Snakes Eyes' Released, Featuring Henry Golding!

Paramount Pictures has debuted the first look at the upcoming movie Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins!

The upcoming movie, starring Henry Golding as the title character, will be released only in theaters on July 23. The teaser trailer is going to be released on Sunday during the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins follows Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.

The movie also stars Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as The Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta, and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.

Henry Golding & 'Snake Eyes' Cast Kick Off Production in Japan!

Production for the upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff Snake Eyes has begun!

Henry Golding and his co-stars Andrew Koji, Haruka Abe, Iko Uwais and Takehiro Hira all got together to attend their Snake Eyes start of production in Japan press event at the Hie-Jinja Shrine on Friday (January 10) in Tokyo, Japan.

Along with the director Robert Schwentke, executive producers Jeff Waxman and Erik Howsam, and stunt coordinator Kenji Tanigaki, the cast received a traditional blessing at Hie-Jinja Shrine ahead of beginning shooting in Tokyo.

Henry is set to take on the role of the ninja commando in the upcoming flick. The popular character first appeared in the 1980s as part of Hasbro and Marvel Comics’ relaunch of the toy line, titled “G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero.”
