Tan France Says He's Known What His Baby Boy's Name Would Be Since He Was 16

Tan France has a plan!

Th 38-year-old Queer Eye star revealed he’s had a name picked out for his baby boy on the way for years during an interview on A Little Late With Lilly Singh.

If you didn’t know, Tan is expecting his first child via surrogate with his husband Rob later this summer.

“I’ve always known,” he said, adding that he’s known since he was about 16 or 17.

“When I met my husband on one of the very first dates, I said, ‘Do you want kids?’ And he was like ‘Yeah one day I do’… And I was like, ‘I also know what I want to call my children,’” he admitted.

Although he knew it sounded “terrifying,” he said he “just needed to know if [Rob] liked these names.”

“And he did, so I was like ‘Okay, that’s what our first child is going to be called,’” he said. While he did not reveal the name, he said it is South Asian in honor of his heritage.

“You can take the boy out of Pakistan, but you can’t take Pakistan out of this boy,” he hinted.

The 37-year-old Queer Eye star and his 42-year-old illustrator husband Rob France are expecting their first child via surrogate, he confirmed via Instagram on Tuesday (April 13).

“So happy to finally share that WE’RE HAVING A BABY!! No, I’m not pregnant, despite this VERY realistic pic. With the greatest gift/help of the most wonderful surrogate, Rob and I are lucky enough to be on our way to being parents, this Summer. Something we’ve wanted for SOooo many years,” Tan France wrote along with a photo of an ultrasound.

Global Citizen‘s Every Vote Counts: A Celebration of Democracy special is airing tonight (October 29) – and it’s a star-studded affair!

Queer Eye's Tan France Just Became a US Citizen; Vows To Vote For Change In Upcoming Elections

Tan France is officially a US Citizen!

The 37-year-old British born Queer Eye star shared the happy news with his fans on social media today.

“A few minutes ago, I officially became an U.S citizen!! For me, this is monumental,” Tan wrote in the caption of his post on Instagram. “It’s something I’ve been working towards for literally 20 years, which makes this all the more emotional.”

Tan, went on, promising that now that he’s a US Citizen, he will be using his vote in the upcoming elections for change.

“And now, I will exercise my constitutional right as an American. Today, I will register to vote, and vote for the change I wish to see in OUR nation,” he added.

If you missed it, this other star will be voting for the first time in November, too.

'Next in Fashion' Canceled By Netflix After One Season

The fashion competition series Next in Fashion has been canceled by Netflix after just one season.

Tan France, who co-hosted the show with Alexa Chung, confirmed to Variety that they are “not doing a second season.” He did leave open the possibility that the series could be picked up by a different network or streaming service.

“This is a one-season show, we don’t know what will happen in the future,” he added. “But it was honestly one of the proudest things I’ve ever worked on. I love the show and Alexa so much. My focus is definitely on Queer Eye and moving forward with that.”

Netflix has been canceling a bunch of shows this year after their debut seasons, ending a trend in which most shows on the streamer got additional seasons.

Queer Eye is ready to transform Philadelphia!
