Machine Gun Kelly has dropped out of the upcoming movie Wash Me in the River and he is being replaced by Friday Night Lights actor Taylor Kitsch.

Deadline reports that “scheduling” conflicts prompted MGK from dropping out as the lead in the new film, which will be directed by Randall Emmett.

MGK just worked with Randall on the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass, which had production delays due to the pandemic. That film recently went back to work and has since wrapped.

In the new movie, Taylor will “play a recovering addict who goes Man On Fire toward every drug dealer he thinks might have played a role in his fiance’s death. Two cops are hot on his trail.” Also starring in the film are Robert De Niro and John Malkovich.

Wash Me in the River will begin shooting next month in Georgia and Puerto Rico.

Taylor Kitsch is dapper in a suit while hitting the red carpet at the 60th Anniversary Party for The Monte-Carlo TV Festival held at Sunset Tower Hotel on Wednesday (February 5) in West Hollywood.

The 38-year-old actor was joined at the event by Melissa Joan Hart and her sister Mackenzie Hart, Jason Priestley and his wife Naomi Lowde-Priestley, James Lafferty, Cedric the Entertainer, Billy Zane, Jane Seymour, Stephen Colletti and Patrick Duffy.

Taylor Kitsch was also joined by his Shadowplay co-star Tuppence Middleton and director Mans Marlind.

Shadowplay, a Cold War limited series from StudioCanal division Tandem Productions and Bron Studios, will screen the first two episodes June 19, with HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the festival’s honorary president, in attendance.

Taylor Kitsch made an appearance on Thursday’s (November 21) Jimmy Kimmel Live, and shared a hilarious on-set story from filming 21 Bridges in New York City!

The 38-year-old actor explained to Kimmel that most of 21 Bridges was filmed at night. “Shooting nights, I don’t wish that on anyone,” Taylor said. “The bars are closed around 2 or 3 in the morning, and we’re outside doing a big shoot-out in the movie. We looked over, and it was, like, around 3. And there’s a few women, couple guys and they’re arguing. You have to block the streets, obviously, and it’s public area, so they’re right at the border of where the blockade is.”

Speaking of one particular drunk woman, Taylor recalled, “We’re like, ‘Let’s call you a cab,’ and she’s hammered. Hammered. Just came out of the bar, like, last call, no joke.”

“She’s like, the defiant moment, I think maybe we’ve all been there. And so, security were like, ‘Hey, you know, we’ll get you a cab. What do we need to do to facilitate this?’ And she’s like, ‘You know what?’ And then, threw up all over the blockade, all over his knees down,” Taylor continued. “And I’m like, ‘We should be capturing this! This should be in the movie. This is the trailer right now!’”

Taylor also talked about his nightmare experience shooting a scene for Snakes on a Plane and meeting Tommy Lee Jones.

The 41-year-old actor was joined at the event by co-stars Sienna Miller, Taylor Kitsch, Stephan James, and Keith David, as well as director Brian Kirk.

Earlier in the day, Chadwick made an appearance on The Today Show and he also joined Sienna, Taylor, and Brian for a photo call.

21 Bridges is hitting theaters this weekend!

21 Bridges follows an embattled NYPD detective (Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 Bridges to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.

Sienna Miller and Chadwick Boseman film a gunfight shootout with Taylor Kitsch on Friday night (November 16) in New York City.

The co-stars stayed up until the wee hours of the night to film a couple of scenes for their upcoming movie 17 Bridges.

In the movie, Chadwick plays “a disgraced NYPD detective who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, is given a shot at redemption,” according to Deadline.

17 Bridges is scheduled to hit theaters on July 12, 2019

Taylor Kitsch suits up while attending the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ screening and panel discussion for Waco on Wednesday (May 9) at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

The 37-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Paul Sparks and Rory Culkin.

Waco is a limited series that aired on the Paramount Network back in January. It had six episodes and also starred Michael Shannon, Andrea Riseborough, and Melissa Benoist.

The event was a For Your Consideration panel held ahead of Emmy nominations, which will be announced on July 12.
