Michael Douglas is back in the new trailer for the third and final season of The Kominsky Method!

Netflix released the trailer for the upcoming final season of the comedy series starring the 76-year-old alongside Kathleen Turner, Sarah Baker, Paul Reiser, Lisa Edelstein, Emily Osment, Graham Rogers and Haley Joel Osment.

Here’s the summary for The Kominsky Method‘s six-episode final season: Sandy (Douglas) has to navigate what aging looks like without his longtime friend Norman by his side, and Life only becomes more complicated with the arrival of Sandy’s ex-wife Roz (Turner).

The pair’s famously volatile relationship is further inflamed when she comes to L.A. to spend time with their daughter Mindy (Baker) and her boyfriend Martin (Reiser).

The trailer also teases a season without Norman Newlander (played by Alan Arkin), who departed the series at the end of season two.

The third and final season of The Kominsky Method debuts on Netflix on May 28th.

The brand new season will debut on May 28, with Sarah Baker, Paul Reiser, Lisa Edelstein, Emily Osment, Graham Rogers and Haley Joel Osment all returning for the show.

Noticeably absent is Alan Arkin, who departed the show following the second season last year.

Kathleen Turner will be back on Netflix’s The Kominsky Method for its upcoming final season.

Deadline reports that the -year-old actress will reunite with Michael Douglas once again and reprise her Roz Volander role, which she first appeared as in the second season.

Roz is Sandy’s (Douglas) ex-wife and the mom of their daughter, Mindy. Roz is a highly skilled doctor with whom Sandy has a very volatile relationship.

She comes back to LA to spend time with their daughter.

Kathleen and Michael previously starred together in three movies, with the most recognizable being Romancing The Stone.

The addition of Kathleen fills the void left by Alan Arkin, who announced he would not be returning to the Emmy winning show earlier this summer.

Netflix announced on Thursday (July 2) that the series has been renewed for a third and final season.

The Chuck Lorre half-hour comedy stars Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, and will return for a last season, although it’s not yet confirmed how many episodes Season 3 will have.

In The Kominsky Method, the sun isn’t setting yet on the once famous Sandy Kominsky (Douglas) and his longtime agent Norman Newlander (Arkin), two friends tackling life’s inevitable curveballs as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty.

The show’s second season debuted back in October of 2019, and it’s still unclear when production will begin on the third season given the pandemic.

The Kominsky Method is coming back for another season!

The series, who stars Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, is set to begin production on a second season in January 2019 in Los Angeles, Netflix confirmed on Thursday (January 17).

The season will consist of eight episodes. Sarah Baker and Nancy Travis will also return as series regulars.
