Hit Songs That the Artists Now Regret

Everyone has their special fuzzy memories of their favorite smashes over the years – but now and then, the artists themselves don’t exactly feel the same way about their own music.

Over time, plenty of different pop stars and singer-songwriters have spoken out following the smash success of their songs to reveal that, for one reason or another, they feel awkward, embarrassed or even ashamed about certain songs.

In some cases, it comes down to the lyrical content. And in others, it’s all due to the song’s complete over-saturation of the market. Regardless, these stars have enough distance between the song’s release and now to reflect on the choices they made.

We’ve gathered together some of the biggest hits from the likes of everyone from Taylor Swift to Radiohead, and how the artists really feel about the songs. Some of these are bound to surprise you!

TLC Announces '90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined' Spinoff Series - See the Cast!

Big news for 90 Day Fiancé fans!

TLC announced a new limited series called 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined on Thursday (April 2), a spin-off based on the ongoing pandemic.

The five episode limited series will premiere on April 20 with more than 40 cast members set to return.

Talking via computers and video chat “is already in their DNA,” said TLC’s Howard Lee of the show, via Variety.

Cast members began recording themselves — and one another — earlier in the week, and will be taped for confessional interviews by producers over video chat.

“Our crew is not near them physically at all. They will be helping them remotely. And they have no problem with this, the couples. They’re seizing this opportunity. I think that they’re actually really enjoying it, being able to show a part of their lives at home,” Howard went on to say.

“This series will look very hot-off-the-press — it will look like the paint has not dried. I think our audience is incredibly forgiving right now, and I’m hoping that they accept the way it looks. It will be messy!”

Some of the cast members are living together, while others are alone. Some are still together in relationships, but are physically apart.

“We’re still working with many of them and trying to see who we can get,” he added.

“If for some reason, this is popular, and the audience really loves it, I don’t know — maybe there’s more down the road!”

TLC Has Great Response to Man Asking About Their 'No Scrubs' Policy

Comedian Paul F. Tompkins tweeted at the music group TLC about their hit song “No Scrubs,” and their exchange has now gone viral!

“Does anyone know if TLC has relaxed its policy on scrubs?,” Paul tweeted, to which the group responded on Twitter later, “hell no!”

The lyrics of the song describe a scrub as, “A scrub is a guy that thinks he’s fly/He’s also known as a busta/Always talkin’ about what he wants/And just sits on his broke ass.”

The group – consisting of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas – released their hit song in 1999.
