Six 'Umbrella Academy' Cast Members Team Together, Get Big Pay Raises!

Six cast members from The Umbrella Academy – one of Netflix‘s biggest hits, have banded together to earn pay raises for the upcoming third season.

Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin Min were the cast members that approached higher-ups together and will now earn over $200,000 per episode.

You may be wondering why the show’s star, Elliot Page, is not listed among his cast members. Variety reports that Elliot also received a pay increase but was not involved with the group’s decision to go in together. Elliot was paid a higher rate to begin with because of his star power before the show debuted. The source added that Elliot was “supportive of the group’s effort.”

'Resident Evil' Origin Movie Casts Kaya Scodelario, Avan Jogia, Tom Hopper & More

Kaya Scodelario and Avan Jogia are just two of the stars who have joined the Resident Evil origin movie.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Robbie Amell, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hopper, and Neal McDonough will also star in the pic.

The upcoming movie essentially reboots the franchise and is set on a fateful night in Raccoon City in 1998, where the town is known in Evil lore as the center of a virus outbreak that destroys it and forever changes the country.

Kaya will play Claire Redfield, who would eventually go on to become a major character in the games but in the origin is a woman heading into Raccoon City to visit her brother, Chris Redfield, played by Robbie.

Hannah is Jill Valentine, a member of an elite division within the city’s police department known as Special Tactics and Rescue Services. Tom is researcher Albert Wesker, a duplicitous man serving the Umbrella Corporation’s dangerous mutant bioresearch while hiding his belief that mass extinction is what humanity needs.

Avan will play Leon Kennedy, a federal counterterrorist agent, while Neal is William Birkin, a virologist who turns ultimately turns against the Umbrella Corporation but in the process poses an even greater threat to the town.

“With this movie, I really wanted to go back to the original first two games and create the terrifying visceral experience I had when I first played them whilst at the same time, telling a grounded human story about a small dying American town that feel both relatable and relevant to today’s audiences,” director Johannes Roberts shared in a statement.

Just recently, it was announced that there will also be a television series on Netflix. Get the details…

'Umbrella Academy' Stars Tom Hopper & Robert Sheehan Would Love To Go to The '80s in Season Three

Tom Hopper and Robert Sheehan have some ideas on what could happen in a possible season three of The Umbrella Academy on Netflix.

The two actors, who star as Luther and Klaus on the show, spoke with GamesRadar about the future of the series and threw out a few ideas of where it could go.

“You’re always talking about future seasons,” Tom shared in the round table interview. “You know, from season 1, you’re always talking about where the show could go. I’d like to do the Eighties, actually.”

Robert added that some of the ideas he has are the family getting transported back to “Medieval times” and of course, the 1980s.

“What if they went back to the day they were all born? Something in 1987,” Robert shared. “You know, the whole 20th century was contentious. I’m always hatching pipe dreams. Sending an email to Steve [Blackman, showrunner]. That’s the fun part.”

Tom continued, “I think there’s an element of assuming that the story continues until you’re told that it’s not going to continue. You’re always keeping it alive in your head as an actor because you don’t like to kill off a character until it’s kind of done. You’re always seeing where they could go or what could happen.”

The Umbrella Academy season two is now streaming on Netflix.
