Tony Shalhoub Reveals He & Wife Brooke Adams Had Coronavirus

Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Tony Shalhoub, 66, and his wife Brooke Adams, 71, battled Coronavirus last month and they’re both seemingly doing okay now.

“I hope you are all being careful and following the protocol. We really are all Monk now,” Tony said during an appearance on Peacock’s The At-Home Variety Show. “Last month, my wife Brooke and I came down with the virus, and it was a pretty rough few weeks. But we realize that so many other people have and had it a lot worse.”

During the interview, when 7pm hit, he referred to the continued show of appreciation to healthcare workers.

“Must be 7:00 — time to go out and show our appreciation to all our heroes: the health care workers, the first responders. Let’s go. Stay safe and stay sane,” he added.

So Many Stars Attended the Opening Night of Broadway's 'Girl from the North Country'

The opening night performance of the new Broadway musical Girl from the North Country had so many stars on the red carpet on Thursday (March 5) at the Belasco Theatre in New York City.

It was date night for married couples Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita, and Michael C. Hall and Morgan Macgregor.

More stars in attendance included James Van Der Beek, Ben Platt and his former Dear Evan Hansen co-star Michael Park, Corey Stoll, Brooke Shields, Jesse Eisenberg, Tony Shalhoub, Bernadette Peters, Jane Krakowski, Martha Plimpton, Rosie O’Donnell, Kathy Najimy, Mary-Louise Parker, Brian D’Arcy James, Alysia Reiner, Sophia Anne Caruso, and Wesley Taylor.

Girl from the North Country, which features the songs of Bob Dylan, is now playing on Broadway. The New York Times gave it a rave review and noted it as a Critic’s Pick.

Rachel Brosnahan & 'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Cast Win at Artios Awards 2020!

Tony Shalhoub, Rachel Brosnahan and Luke Kirby are all smiles as they pose for a photograph together at the 2020 Artios Awards held at Stage 48 on Thursday (January 30) in New York City.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast were joined at the event by Rachel‘s husband Jason Ralph, as well as Michael Shannon and his partner Kate Arrington, Russell Tovey, Kate Walsh, Annaleigh Ashford and J. Smith-Cameron.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Netflix’s Marriage Story, Jojo Rabbit and Knives Out were among the film winners as the Casting Society of America handed out its 35th annual Artios Awards for film, TV and at separate ceremonies across two continents.

Rachel and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast took home the award for Best Television Series Comedy.

“Tonight’s three Artios Award ceremonies were a fantastic celebration of the many contributions Casting Society of America members bring to the global entertainment community,” CSA President Russell Boast said (via Deadline). “We are bolstered by the ongoing advancements made to recognize our craft and will continue our commitment to supporting and advancing the work we do worldwide.”

Billy Porter, Tony Shalhoub & More Step Out To Support 'A Soldier's Play' Broadway Opening!

Billy Porter keeps it chic as he strikes a pose on the red carpet at the opening night for A Soldier’s Play held at the American Airlines Theater on Tuesday (January 21) in New York City.

The 50-year-old Pose star was joined at the event by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s Tony Shalhoub and his wife Brooke Adams, Weeds star Mary Louise Parker and her son William Parker, Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie, Kate Walsh, Sunny Hostin, Phylicia Rashad and Cicely Tyson as they all stepped out to show their support.

Also in attendance were the cast of the play David Alan Grier, Blair Underwood, Nnamdi Asomugha, Jerry O’Connell, McKinley Belcher III, Rob Demery, Jared Grimes, Billy Eugene Jones, Nate Mann, Warner Miller, J. Alphonse Nicholson, and Lee Aaron Rosen.

A Soldier’s Play follows an officer’s race against his white leadership to unravel the crime of a black sergeant’s murder. A hair-raising mystery set in 1944, the play is seen on Broadway for the first time.

'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Cast Wins at SAG Awards 2020, But They Think 'Fleabag' Should Have Won

Alex Borstein and Rachel Brosnahan accept an award for the cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 19) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The cast won the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Tony Shalhoub picked up the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

More cast members in attendance included Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Matilda Szydagis, Stephanie Hsu, Kevin Pollak, Luke Kirby, Joel Johnstone, Caroline Aaron, and Jane Lynch.

“I voted for Fleabag. This is really weird. This makes no sense! I didn’t vote for Rachel, I didn’t vote for Tony,” Alex said while accepting. Rachel added, “This is a mistake, but thank you.”

The cast also paid tribute to the late Brian Tarantina, who wins a posthumous award for his work on the show.

Rachel walked the red carpet with her husband Jason Ralph.

Rachel Brosnahan hits the blue carpet at the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 12) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 29-year-old actress was joined at the event by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel co-stars Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Marin Hinkle, Caroline Aaron, Kevin Pollak, and creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is nominated for three awards – Best Comedy Series, Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Rachel, and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Alex.
