Troian Bellisario was one of the many celebrity guests at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s royal wedding back in 2018 and she’s opening up about the reason it became a “nightmare” day for her.

The 34-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress is married to Patrick J. Adams, who played Meghan‘s love interest on the show Suits.

Troian says that she had anxiety over the outfit she wore to the wedding as she was trying to conceal her pregnancy, plus she was worried her fascinator wasn’t appropriate.

“Of course I [had outfit anxiety], and I had it two-fold. One, because I was trying to conceal the fact that I was five months pregnant. I was absolutely positive that it was going to be revealed. But I also had extreme anxiety about… what are they called? Those hat things?” Troian told Stellar.

She continued, “That’s it, fascinators. They look ridiculous unless you’re in the 1930s. You could get one that is an absolute piece of art, but then are you being too vain and trying to call too much attention to yourself? Or if you get a fascinator that’s very small, are you not going for tradition?”

“I’d never needed a fascinator in my life, and here I was trying to walk this tightrope of ‘don’t go too big, don’t go too small.’ It was a nightmare,” Troian continued. “My stylist, Annabelle Harron, is actually an Aussie, and I called her right before I was about to walk out the door and I was like, ‘Annabelle, this is not a full hat.’ And she said, ‘It’s fine, you have a veil, you have a head covering.’ And I was like, ‘If the British press tears me apart, I can never forgive you for this.’ And she said, ‘Trust me, I’m an Aussie. I’ve got you!’”

Earlier this year, Troian wore half of her wedding dress while attending an awards season party.

Troian Bellisario and Patrick Dempsey have a new show coming to CBS!

The 34-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress and the 54-year-old Grey’s Anatomy star will join forces for the upcoming political drama pilot Ways & Means, Deadline reports.

Phil Abraham will direct the project, which follows “a powerful congressional leader (Dempsey) who has lost faith in politics. He finds himself working secretly with an idealistic young congresswoman (Bellisario) from the opposing party to subvert the hopelessly gridlocked system he helped create. Together, they’ll attempt to save American politics — if they don’t get caught.”

Troian’s Claire is “a newly elected, progressive, idealistic freshman Democratic Congresswoman who leads with her intelligence and straightforwardness. She’s going to have to figure out how to merge her idealism with her ambition – she will either change Congress, or Congress will change her.”

Amanda Warren will also star, and Patrick Dempsey will also executive produce.

Troian Bellisario and her husband Patrick J. Adams attended several 2020 Golden Globes parties on Sunday (January 5) in Beverly Hills, Calif, and she revealed that she wore a very special dress to the events!

“Wore half my wedding dress. Home by 11. Eating ice cream. Happy #goldenglobes2020,” Troian posted on her Instagram account.

Troian and Patrick got married in December of 2016 and she wore a Cortana bridal gown at the event.

She previously told Refinery29 about her wedding gown, “Ultimately, I tried on way too many dresses. I’m an incredibly indecisive person, and I didn’t want to wear a dress that I felt was wearing me. So I picked a simple, really beautiful design.”

Troian Bellisario and Shay Mitchell are both moms now and the daughters of the Pretty Little Liars co-stars have something in common… they both have “A” names.

If you’re a fan of the series, then you know why “A” is so significant, so it’s amusing to fans that both of the baby girls have names starting with that initial.

Troian and husband Patrick J. Adams named their daughter Aurora while Shay and boyfriend Matte Babel named their daughter Atlas.

“Well, it never crossed my mind until, like, an initial occurred. We were playing in our playroom and I just put A’s everywhere, and then I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’ve done it to myself!’” Troian told Teen Vogue about choosing her daughter’s name. “I have nobody to blame for this, and it’s so funny that a motif will crop up in your life totally unconsciously.”

Troian said that Aurora comes from Roman mythology, not the movie Sleeping Beauty.

“Now it’s really funny, because I didn’t tell [Patrick] that Aurora… he didn’t know that Aurora was a Disney princess’s name. I didn’t even think of it, honestly. ‘Cause I was thinking about it in terms of the historical context. So many people now are like, ‘Oh, like a Disney princess?’ And I feel like Patrick‘s like, ‘Ugh,’” she said.

Troian also opened up about Shay‘s daughter having an “A” name.

“Oh, that’s so funny. No, that is a name that she told me she’s had since she was young, so way before Pretty Little Liars. It just happened that we want our children to go with the first of the class and everything, I guess,” she said.
