Sarah Hyland Re-Teams With 'Modern Family' Co-Star Ty Burrell; Will Star In 'Yours, Mine & Pauls'

Sarah Hyland has signed on to star in Yours, Mine and Pauls, a new comedy series set to premiere on ABC.

The 28-year-old actress would play Lauren, who agrees to be a surrogate for her best friend, Paul, and his husband, Xander. There’s just one problem: Lauren and Xander hate each other, Deadline reports.

The site adds that Sarah’s character of Lauren is “an impulsive, faux-enlightened millennial who agrees to be the egg donor and surrogate for her best friend Paul, and his husband Xander, despite (or maybe because of) the fact that she and Xander are constantly competing for Paul’s attention.”

“She likes the idea of being the glowing, pregnant center of attention for nine months without having to take care of a crying baby at the end of it. After Paul’s sudden death, she is confronted with the looming possibility of motherhood and co-parenting with her nemesis.”

The project would reunite Sarah with her Modern Family dad, Ty Burrell, who is producing the pilot under his Desert Whale Productions.

If you missed it, Sarah and fiance Wells Adams paid tribute to what would’ve been their wedding day last month in a funny way.

Modern Family's Ty Burrell Won't Miss This Part About Playing Phil Dunphy

There’s one thing Ty Burrell won’t miss about portraying Phil Dunphy on Modern Family!

The 52-year-old actor stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday (March 2) to discuss his hit show, which is coming to an end in April.

“The part I won’t miss so much is that people assume that you are the character,” Phil – er, Ty – told host Stephen Colbert.

“I’ve been lucky enough to do a ton of physical comedy over the last 11 years – and I genuinely love it – but this kind of curious thing has happened over that time,” he continued, explaining, “I’m actually a clumsy person … and well, season five maybe, I would trip on a curb and somebody would go like, ‘Yeah!’ … or I’d take even more of a stumble and people would be like, ‘Yeah, that guy!’”

He added that even his own family is guilty of doing this!
