Bono Reveals the 60 Songs That Saved His Life in Honor of His 60th Birthday

Bono is thanking the fellow artists that saved his life.

The U2 frontman, who turned 60 on Sunday (May 10), honored his special day with a playlist of 60 songs that saved his life, which he shared on the band’s official website along with a first group of letters to the artists, including Billie Eilish and David Bowie.

“These are some of the songs that saved my life…the ones I couldn’t have lived without…the ones that got me from there to here, zero to 60…through all the scrapes, all manner of nuisance, from the serious to the silly…and the joy, mostly joy,” he wrote.

“I wanted to thank the artists and everyone who helped make them…they were doing the same for me…I am writing a fan letter to accompany each song to try and explain my fascination.”

U2 Will Bring Their Joshua Tree Tour to Asia & Australia

Fans of U2 in Australia and Asia are in luck as the band will be bringing their smash hit Joshua Tree Tour there!

The band is heading to Singapore and South Korea for the first time ever and this will mark their first time in Australia since 2010.

The original run of the tour celebrated the album’s 30th anniversary back in 2017.

“It’s only taken me 30 years to learn how to sing these songs and it’s great to be able to say that I’ve finally caught up with the band,” Bono said in a statement (via Rolling Stone). “Our audience has given the Joshua Tree a whole new life on this tour. Doing these shows has been very special for us, a lot of emotion… From the despair of how relevant some of the dark songs still are, to the joy, pure fun of the staging… it’s quite a ride. And now we get to do it all over again. Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul… We’re coming for you.”

Taylor Swift Gets Surprise Roses From U2 Ahead of Dublin Shows

Taylor Swift got a sweet surprise from her fellow musicians U2 to help kick off her reputation Tour concerts in Dublin, Ireland!

The 28-year-old “Delicate” singer took to Instagram on Friday (June 15) to share a photo of her gift with fans.

It features a bouquet of red roses and Taylor‘s sparkly pink nail polish as she holds up the Dublin-based band’s handwritten note.

It reads, “From your Irish fan club… Bono, The Edge, Adam & Larry.”

“Walked into my dressing room to find roses from @U2 and I WAS NOT READY FOR IT,” Taylor captioned the snap. “I LOVE U2 … I LOVE IRELAND … LETS DO THIS CROKE PARK!!!”

Taylor will take the stage at at Croke Park stadium tonight and tomorrow.

Bono & The Edge Fill In as Ellen DeGeneres' Assistants in Hilarious Video

Bono and The Edge are making an appearance on The Ellen Show, airing later today, and while they were at the studios, they did Ellen a huge favor.

The U2 stars actually got to the studios early to rehearse for their performance of “Love Is Bigger Than Anything in Its Way.” However, Ellen pulled them away to help her out after her assistant called out that day.

In the hilarious video, Ellen has the guys attempt to order her lunch, and get coffee orders from her staff.

U2 Perform 'Get Out Of Your Own Way' on Grammys 2018 - Watch Now!

U2 performs from a barge off the Hudson River during the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) in New York City.

The band – Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. – took the outdoor stage with the Statue of Liberty in the background to perform “Get Out Of Your Own Way” after an introduction by Camila Cabello.

“‘Blessed are the Sh-thole Countries, for they gave us the American Dream’ #Grammys,” the band tweeted after their performance.

Bono and The Edge also made a brief appearance in the beginning of the show during Kendrick Lamar‘s opening performance.
