The ABC series The Baker and the Beauty is currently number one on Netflix and so many fans are wondering when a second season will be available.

Unfortunately, the series was canceled over 10 months ago and there are currently no plans to make additional episodes of the beloved series. Even though the show just found so many fans, it didn’t find a large audience when it aired on network television last year.

Series creator Dean Georgaris opened up about his plans for a second season after the show was canceled by ABC.

The ABC series The Baker and the Beauty is now the number one TV show on Netflix in the United States and the cast has hope for a season two renewal!

The nine-episode first season aired on ABC in the spring of 2020 and was unfortunately not a hit. Less than 3 million people tuned in for each episode, making it one of the least-watched shows of the season. ABC announced the show’s cancellation in June 2020 and the producers were unable to find another home for season two.

It’s clear that people weren’t aware of the series as now people are finally watching it and LOVING it!

After being on Netflix for just two days, the ABC series The Baker and the Beauty is climbing the charts and becoming a hit for the streaming service!

Sadly, we have some upsetting news for fans who are hoping for a second season of the series.

The Baker and the Beauty was canceled by ABC back in June 2020 and after producers looked for a new home for the show, it was revealed that a second season would not be happening.

Nathalie Kelley, who plays Noa Hamilton on the series, called out the network for the cancellation and said it was “tone deaf” to cancel the show.

Showrunner Dean Georgaris opened up to fans about his plans for the second season after it was announced that it would never happen.

The modern-day fairytale series is a remake of the Israeli show Beauty and the Baker, which is one of the highest-rate scripted series ever in Israel. The romantic series is fittingly getting a premiere behind The Bachelor spinoff series Listen to Your Heart.

In The Baker and the Beauty, Daniel Garcia (Rasuk) is working in the family bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do. But on a wild Miami night he meets Noa Hamilton (Kelley), an international superstar and fashion mogul, and his life moves into the spotlight. Will this unlikely couple upend their lives to be together and pull their families into a culture clash?

So, where do you know Victor and Nathalie from?

Victor is known for his role as Anastasia Steele’s best friend Jose in the Fifty Shades franchise and he also starred in TV shows like How to Make It in America, Stalker, and Jack Ryan.

Nathalie had her big break when she played Neela in 2006′s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Since then, she’s starred in TV shows like Body of Proof, The Vampire Diaries, and Dynasty.

The first season of The Baker and the Beauty is now streaming on Netflix, but we have some bad news for fans of the show.

The series has failed to find a new home after it was cancelled by ABC in the recent months.

Efforts were made to place the show, which starred Nathalie Kelley and Victor Rasuk as the title characters, on another network. But there were no takers.

“Baker and the Beauty is a show that depicts Latin families as warm, lovable, full of joy and compassion and humor,” Nathalie shared in an open letter to the fandom who was just as outraged as she was that ABC cancelled the show. “A cancellation by ABC means that there are now no shows on the networks with a Latinx cast. At a time when the public is marching in the streets demanding representation and diversity this is an extremely tone deaf decision.”
