Ansel Elgort and his longtime girlfriend Violetta Komyshan pose for a photo while attending the opening night of the Broadway show Slave Play on Sunday night (October 6) in New York City.

The couple were among the many stars who stepped out to check out the show, which is creating a ton of buzz for Broadway right now.

Ansel and Violetta are clearly still very much in love. Their relationship was put in the spotlight last week after he made comments about wanting to feel free to fall in love with other people.

The comments then led to the online bullying of Ansel‘s West Side Story co-star Rachel Zegler, who announced a break from Twitter following the tweets she was receiving from his fans.

Ansel Elgort is opening up about his non-traditional view on love and wanting to have the freedom to fall in love with more women than just his girlfriend.

The 25-year-old The Goldfinch actor doesn’t want to have a sexual relationship with other women, but he still wants to fall in love.

Ansel has been dating ballerina Violetta Komyshan since they met in high school back in 2012.

“It doesn’t need to be sexual. I could be done sexually with my girlfriend,” Ansel said in a new interview with The Times. “I think we’ve been pretty clear that I want to feel free to fall in love with people and that [option] should be open, but sexually it can be closed off.”

“I’m in love with a bunch of my male friends who I’m not interested in having sex with, so why can’t I put the desire to have sex with women aside and let myself have love with women? I love [Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars co-star] Shailene Woodley and we never had anything sexual and that was great. There will probably be some sort of chemical thing at some point that you can’t help, but you just have to be disciplined and not be a f—— … We’re primitive beings,” Ansel added.

Ansel Elgort and Violetta Komyshan couple up for the launch of Ralph Lauren‘s new “Polo Red Rush” fragrance!

The 25-year-old Jonathan actor and his longtime girlfriend stepped out for the event held on Thursday (April 25) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Violetta dazzled in a gold dress, while Ansel looked dapper in a black suit with a red handkerchief and black loafers.

The two smiled as they posed for the cameras, and Ansel took some more serious shots in front of a gray convertible.

He also signed 20 bottles for a giveaway, according to his Instagram Stories.

Ansel and Violetta were also spotted arriving at Sao Paulo International Airport in more casual outfits earlier that day.

That same day, Violetta took to Instagram to wish Ansel a “Happy Birthday” by sharing a group of videos of him.

“Happy Birthday @ansel ❤️,” she simply captioned them.
