There were so many incredible looks this year at the 2021 Oscars and one of the biggest trends JustJared spotted were actresses who chose bright, bold red gowns for the ceremony!
The 73-year-old South Korean actress was joined by her Minari co-star Yeri Han on the red carpet as they arrived at the big event on Sunday (April 25) at Union Station in Los Angeles.
Youn looked pretty in a navy gown while the 36-year-old actress donned a red dress as they arrived at the Oscars.
Youn is nominated tonight for Best Supporting Actress for her role as the grandma, Soon-ja, in Minari.
The 73-year-old South Korean actress won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work in the movie Minari.
Yuh-jung appeared to be shocked by her win and said, “I don’t know how to describe my feelings. I’m being recognized by Westerners!” She then continued by saying, “I don’t know, am I saying right?”
The other nominees all cheered her on and told her that she was doing a great job with her speech.
“My English is not perfect,” she continued. “I’m really pleased and happy and thank you for the SAG-AFTRA. Thank you, so much thank you, Olivia, Glenn, Maria and everybody. Thank you.”
Minari was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Steven Yeun was up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. You can see Steven, Alan S. Kim, and Yeri Han‘s red carpet looks in the gallery!
FYI: Steven is wearing Dunhill with an Omega watch. Alan is wearing an Emporio Armani navy blue suit with a blue shirt and a necktie. Yeri is wearing a Miu Miu gown, Roger Vivier shoes, and Piaget jewelry.
