Zach Braff Reveals Why He Didn't Speak Out Against Florence Pugh Age Gap Critics

Zach Braff, 45, is revealing why he did not initially speak out about the age gap between him and his girlfriend Florence Pugh, 24.

In April, Florence had had enough hearing from trolls who had a lot to say about their age difference. She sat down and recorded a video directed at those spewing hatred.

Mr. Porter asked why Zach had not recorded his own message and he then responded, “She literally sat down hit record on her phone. I thought: how could I possibly follow anything as intelligent and articulate as that? So, I chose not to.”

You can watch Florence‘s amazing video right here. A few months before that, Florence responded to the criticism and her comment went viral.

Florence Pugh Honors Boyfriend Zach Braff's Close Friend Nick Cordero on His Birthday

Florence Pugh is honoring Nick Cordero on what would have been his 42nd birthday.

The 24-year-old Little Woman actress took to her Instagram on Thursday (September 17) to share a sweet message to the late Broadway actor for his birthday. Nick passed away in July from coronavirus complications.

“So. This amazing man is turning 42 today. Nick was the first to welcome me into this friendship group, he had this big open smile that makes you fall in love with him even if he hadn’t said anything yet,” Florence wrote. “Nick used to let me put ointments and beard balms and face masks on him after dinner when everyone else at the dinner table had politely refused.”

“He would eat ALL of my cooking. Everything. Even if it was burnt! He’d then go back for seconds, thirds, fourths.. each time mmm’ing and ah’ing with the same intensity as the first time,” Florence continued. “Nick sings like it’s as easy as breathing. His voice is like butter and if you ever had the pleasure of hearing it live you’d be so wrapped up in the song you wouldn’t have time to notice the goosebumps all over your skin.”

Florence is currently dating Zach Braff, who was a very close friends with Nick. During Nick‘s hospitalization, his wife Amanda Kloots and their son Elvis, 1, moved into Zach‘s guest house.

“My mum fell in love with him. She spent a whole dinner planted between Amanda and Nick, her gaze would jump between the two of them, almost like she was wrapped up in the middle of their love just admiring it,” Florence wrote. “My mum was so in love with him that she forgot to eat dessert.. which.. for our family, is a big f–king deal.”

Florence added: “Nick was the best cuddler. He was so big and so mighty he would wonderfully smother you and wouldn’t let go. I would find Zach and Nick cuddling on the sofa at the end of so many parties, it looked so comfortable it would be hard not to join. It’s hard to imagine someone so big and so mighty is no longer here anymore.”

“Nick had so much love. He had so much love to give it was impossible not to feel high whenever you’d leave him,” Florence ended her post. “Happy F–king Birthday darling, we shall have a mighty cheese board with all the chutneys and relishes in your honour. We’re thinking of you. ‘We love you to infinity and beyond!’”

Not long ago, Zach revealed the final text message he received from Nick before he lost consciousness. He spent over 90 days in the hospital fighting for his life.

Florence Pugh Reveals How She Feels About All the Scrutiny Over Zach Braff Relationship

Florence Pugh is speaking out about her relationship with Zach Braff and the scrutiny she has felt over their age gap.

The 24-year-old actress and 45-year-old actor were first linked in April of 2019 after they were seen holding hands and she has publicly defended the relationship several times since.

Now, Florence is speaking out about the scrutiny she has felt.

“I’ve always found it funny, how I can be good enough for people to watch my work and support my work and pay for tickets and I’m old enough to be an adult and pay taxes but I’m not old enough to know who I should and should not have sex with,” Florence said on the “Speaking on Sue Perkins’ An Hour Or So With” podcast.

She added, “Once again, it’s making a young woman feel like s**t for no reason.”

“I think I did feel s**t for awhile for admitting that, and then I thought how ridiculous is that? I’m 24 and I can’t choose who I love,” Florence continued. “There’s a reason why I’m not with someone my age – it hasn’t worked, so who are you trying to match me up with?”

Zach Braff Reveals What Happened to Nick Cordero in the Hospital Before His Tragic Death

Zach Braff was very good friends with the late Nick Cordero and his family, and he’s speaking about the heartbreak surrounding watching what happened to him as he died due to complications from Coronavirus at 41 years old.

“Just for clarity’s sake, he didn’t have COVID-19 anymore,” Zach said on his podcast with Donald Faison. “What COVID did to Nick is what it does to a lot of people, it comes in and wreaks havoc on your body. Then it leaves and you don’t have it anymore, but you’re left with what the doctors called ‘lungs that look like Swiss cheese.’”

“Even to live he would’ve needed a full double-lung transplant and you only get those if you’re healthy in all other ways. So the machines were really truly keeping him alive,” Zach said. “His blood pressure wasn’t strong enough so the tips of all his fingers and toes were blackening and they would have had to have been removed had he lived.”

Nick was on dialysis for his kidneys, a ventilator for his lungs, and would have needed a pacemaker too.

“He just deteriorated, deteriorated, deteriorated, until the point where they put him on the ventilator and then he never came back,” he added. “He kind of woke up for a little bit and there was some exciting moments where they would say, ‘Nick if you can hear us look up,’ and he would do that, but he wouldn’t do it all the time. It was only occasionally.”

His wife Amanda “was never able to see him fully conscious again.”

“This is how f—ing tragic it was — she would be 10 feet away from us, Florence [Pugh] and I, and sobbing, and we couldn’t go hug her. We would literally stand 10 feet away from her and watch our friend sobbing,” Zach added. Amanda and son Elvis, 1, stayed with the couple during this ordeal.

Zach revealed the final text message he received from Nick before he lost consciousness. He spent over 90 days in the hospital fighting for his life.
