The official accompanying music video was directed by Jack Karaszweski, and marks the first new music from Zedd this year.

“When I first heard Jasmine’s voice on this song, I was blown away by it and knew I wanted to work with her on ‘Funny.’ There’s so much emotion and energy in this song and Jasmine’s voice captures it perfectly,” he said.

“After a relationship people always seem to come back and want to try again and pay you more attention and say they miss you. I had been through a relationship that wasn’t working and as soon as we ended it, they wanted to spend more time with me. That’s what this song is about, and collaborating with Zedd was an amazing experience – his approach was unique, gave the song an incredible energy, and really brought it to life,” Jasmine said.

Zedd Responds to Matthew Koma's Claims Calling Him 'Toxic'

Zedd is finally break his silence on his drama with Matthew Koma.

After Matt called him “toxic” and “self serving” while accusing him of taking credit for songs Matt supposedly wrote, Zedd is defending himself a lengthy message posted on Twitter.

“I just wanted to let my fans know my side of the story,” Zedd writes. “I have given Matt songwriting credit for every topline he has written.”

Zedd goes on to explain his side of the story, saying that he gave Matt proper writing credit.

“What hurts the most is that Matt feels underappreciated and treated unfairly while I have countless times mentioned him (or) his name, while we’ve done promo together, performed our songs live together and I thought I was being supportive,” Zedd continues. “Anywhere you look, you will see Matt credited for his work. I wish he would have just let me know in person what he was feeling. I never want anyone I work with to be unhappy. I treat everyone I work with with love and respect and it hurts me to see someone feeling differently after seven years.”

Zedd concluded his statement saying that he hopes that he and Matt can work things out.

“What I told Matt doesn’t change – I am incredibly proud of our work together and I continue to wish him nothing but the best,” Zedd writes. “Hopefully one day we can sit down together again as friends.”
