The 33-year-old Collateral actress and the 35-year-old Black Panther star were both seen looking chic at the event.

Carey was seen hanging out with Zoe Kazan, who co-wrote her movie Wildlife. They were also spotted together at the 2019 Spirit Awards earlier in the day.

Zoe Kazan, Oscar nominee Sam Rockwell and longtime love Leslie Bibb, Rachel Zoe, Kelly Sawyer, Gia Coppola, Jacqui Getty and Nathalie Love were all in attendance at the dinner.

Zoe Kazan and Andrea Riseborough walk the red carpet at the premiere of their movie Kindness of Strangers during the 2019 Berlin Film Festival on Thursday (February 7) at Berlinale Palace in Berlin, Germany.

The ladies were joined at the event by co-stars Bill Nighy, Caleb Landry Jones, and Tahar Rahim, as well as the film’s writer and director Lone Sherfig.

More celebs in attendance at the premiere included Andie Macdowell, Toni Garrn, and festival jury members Juliette Binoche and Trudie Styler.

Earlier in the day, the cast attended a photo call for the movie.

The 35-year-old writer-actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Tim Blake Nelson and Bill Heck, and moderator Sean Egan, MoMA film exhibitions and special projects producer.

“I think everyone’s minds are on issues of representations now, or there’s a heightened awareness,” Zoe expressed about her (via THR). “The Coens [Joel and Ethan Coen], I think, historically have written really interesting female roles, and I’ve never had a less gendered experience on set in my entire career.”

“I didn’t think it was a deficit in the script, but I did think, ‘If we’re going to only have one or two female protagonists in this whole thing, I better make sure that I’m doing my job,’” Zoe continued. “But it’s the Coen brothers and you want to do a good job as an actor anyways because they’re the kind of filmmakers that actors dream their entire career of getting to work with.”

Jake Gyllenhaal is dapper as he strikes a pose at the IFC Films special screening reception for his film Wildlife hosted by Calvin Klein at Il Gattopardo on Wednesday (November 28) in New York City.

The 37-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-star Carey Mulligan and screenwriter Zoe Kazan, as well as the film’s producers Oren Moverman and Riva Marker.

“Carey is so great in this movie,” Jake recently expressed of Carey‘s role. “It’s so much about what she does with Ed [Joe Brinson], so that needs to emphasized. I’d started a production company to make projects like this, that really studios don’t make anymore. And Paul came to me with this script, and it was just a perfect fit. I was sort of looking for this new adventure, and this seemed like the right thing.”

Wildlife earned three nominations at the Independent Spirit Awards – Best First Feature, Best Female Lead for Carey, and Best Cinematography.

Wildlife is about a teenage boy who must deal with his mother’s complicated responses after his father temporarily abandons them to take a menial and dangerous job. Carey stars in the film, while Paul and Zoe wrote the film together.
