Ian Somerhalder arrives at LAX airport on Monday (June 18) in Los Angeles.

“Ahhh, California dreaming… But in California,” the 33-year-old Vampire Diaries actor wrote on his Twitter account.

On the same day, Ian gave his loyal fans a shout out.

“I’m so proud of this online family, you’re game changers,” Ian tweeted. “Your hearts are full, your eyes are open – it’s amazing.”

Earlier this month, Ian met President Obama along with 25 of Hollywood’s young talent at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
