Elisha Cuthbert Opens Up On Playing Pregnant Lesbian in 'One Big Happy'

Elisha Cuthbert slicks back her hair on the cover of Fashion magazine’s April 2015 issue, out on newsstands on March 23!

Here’s what the 32-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On playing Lizzy, based on lesbian comedy writer Liz Feldman in One Big Happy: “I felt I had to do this. Just look at what Ellen went through 18 years ago when she came out on her TV series. Could you imagine how hard that was for her and how groundbreaking that was? To think that nothing has come of it since then until us is insane.”

On witnessing firsthand Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi‘s relationship from their collaboration on One Big Happy: “They are a couple that all married people can look up to. They’re very supportive of one another and they have each other’s backs. When Ellen was busy doing her talk show and couldn’t be with us, de Rossi stepped in. One could easily not care about the other’s endeavours, but Portia really did. That was so sweet.”

On harsh reactions on social media: “The things that generate controversy are most interesting to everybody. It’s almost like that’s a way to figure out whether or not you’re culturally interesting.”
