Julia Garner Wants Everyone To See 'The Assistant' For This Reason

Julia Garner steps out in a chic look for The Assistant photo call during the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival held at Grand Hyatt Hotel on Sunday afternoon (February 23) in Germany.

The 26-year-old actress joined director Kitty Green and the producers of the film to discuss the impact of the movie in the era of #MeToo.

Speaking with Marie Claire recently about her role and the movie, Julia shared that she “didn’t want it to be just about sexual assault. I wanted it to express that everybody—even the ones who aren’t getting sexually abused—is a victim in a way. It’s a whole system.”

She adds, “This film is a reminder that people are human. I want everyone to see it—not because I’m in it—but because it’s such an important film. It’s a reminder to keep everybody in check.”
