The 'Dancing With The Stars' Pros Have To Follow This New Rule For Season 29

There’s a new rule that has been implemented for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars and it applies to the recently announced pro dancer cast.

ABC revealed that the pro cast will have to live separately from each other for the duration of the season and can have no physical interaction at all – and that includes the married couples (Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkosvkiy, Emma Slater and Sasha Farber, and Danielle Karagach and Pasha Pashkov).

The new rule was implemented due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which has shut down many projects and could shut down the reality competition if there should be an outbreak amongst the cast.

Emma and Sasha opened up about the new rule for the show on Good Morning America this morning.

“It’s gonna be bliss—I mean, it’s gonna be terrible,” Emma joked. “It’s gonna be so different because we can’t actually interact and even prep with each other, which is something completely different, but we’re doing everything we can to keep it safe.”

She also added that she’s going to be the one moving out of their LA home for the time being because of Sasha‘s gardening skills.

“I would kill all the plants,” Emma admitted.
