Jim Carrey Is Done Playing Joe Biden on 'SNL' - Read His Tweet
Jim Carrey has announced that he is officially stepping down from his role as Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live.
The 58-year-old actor appeared in the first six episodes of the SNL season as the presidential candidate, who was recently elected to be the next President of the United States.
Carrey has been absent from the two most recent episodes of the season and he revealed in a tweet on Saturday (December 19) that he is leaving the show.

“Though my term was only meant to be 6 weeks,I was thrilled to be elected as your SNL President…comedy’s highest call of duty. I would love to go forward knowing that Biden was the victor because I nailed that sh-t. But I am just one in a long line of proud, fighting SNL Bidens!” he tweeted.
No announcement has been made about who will play Biden in future episodes. The role has previously been played by Jason Sudeikis, Woody Harrelson, and John Mulaney.
