Sam Smith Raves About Celine Dion's Voice & She Says They Are 'Amazing'
Celine Dion and Sam Smith are gushing over each other in a cute Twitter exchange ahead of the holidays.
In a new video interview, Sam opened up about the range of Celine‘s voice and named one of their favorite songs from her.
“As a song, I think it’s so outrageous,” Sam said of her iconic tune, “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”.
“The first time I really started singing was musical theater. There’s something with Céline Dion, where she ticks that box. It’s proper singing. It’s from the gut,” they added.
Sam went on, adding, “Vocally, she just has a tone and there’s a sharpness to her voice that I think just cuts right through you, and you can hear her personality when she sings too, which is wonderful.”
After Celine saw Sam‘s comments about her music, she sent some love back to them.
Aww, thank you so much @samsmith. It was great to see you last year in London, and forget about me – I think you're so amazing!! Take care … hope to see you again soon. ❤️ Celine xx… https://t.co/LhSlyPdJ4m

This isn’t the first time the two have raved about each other.
Sam previously shared a video from a festival in 2019, which they went to, and wrote “CELINE DION CHANGED MY LIFE.”
They also revealed that later on that year, they had written a song for Celine‘s latest album, Courage.
Truly honoured to have written ‘For The Lover That I Lost’ for the new @celinedion record, with the incredible @jimmynapes & @stargatemusic ❤️ Celine, you are my everything and you are the reason I even sang in the first place.
