Netflix Reveals Release Date for 'Selena: The Series' Part 2

Netflix has announced the release date for the second part of Selena: The Series.

It was announced today that the second half of the series will premiere on Friday, May 14. The show has achieved big success on the streaming service and it reached the Top 10 list in 23 countries, including the United States. The show stayed in the Top 10 list in Mexico for 26 consecutive days.

Netflix’s VP of Latin American Originals, Francisco Ramos, said that season two will follow how Selena handles her newfound success.

“Fans will get to see how [she] balances family, love, and a burgeoning career. Part 2 of Selena: The Series chronicles the years of hard work and sacrifice the Quintanilla family navigate together as she becomes the most successful female Latin artist of all time,” Ramos said.

The Walking Dead‘s Christian Serratos stars in the series as Selena Quintanilla and she explained why she doesn’t do her own singing on the show.
