'Game of Thrones' Stars Pedro Pascal & Bella Ramsey Join 'Last of Us' Series at HBO

The video game The Last of Us is being turned into a TV series for HBO and the two leads were just cast!

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, who both had pivotal roles on HBO’s Game of Thrones, will be starring in the new series.

Deadline reports that the “story takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel (Pascal), a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie (Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.”

Pedro played Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones and he currently stars in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Deadline says that The Last of Us “has him in first position,” though he will still appear on the Star Wars series.

Bella is best known for playing Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones.
