Gemma Chan Has the Lead Role in Marvel's 'Eternals' Movie!

The upcoming Marvel movie Eternals will feature an incredible ensemble of actors and we just found out which star has the lead role!

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed in a new interview that Gemma Chan, best known for her work in Crazy Rich Asians, will be the lead of the upcoming movie.

Oscar winner Chloe Zhao is directing the film and Kevin opened up about how she helped in the casting process.

“For Sersi, for instance — and if there was a lead in this ensemble, it is Sersi, it is Gemma Chan — we looked at and read all sorts of women for that part. And ended up really believing that Gemma was best for it. And thankfully, she’s proven that to be the case in the final movie,” Kevin told Variety.

He added, “So, of course, Chloe was a big part of that decision, and of every casting decision. Some of it was some of it was done beforehand, and that continued once she was on board as director.”

Also in the cast of Eternals are Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, and Barry Keoghan. The movie will hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
