Nicki Minaj Makes The First Statement About Her Father Since He Was Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

Nicki Minaj is opening up about her father’s death has affected her in a note posted to her website.

Robert Maraj was killed in a hit-and-run accident on just a few months ago, as he was walking across the street in Long Island, N.Y. He later passed away from his injuries at a local hospital.

In a blog post that pops up on her official website, Nicki addressed a lot of things to update her fans on what was happening in her life, and one of them was how she was dealing with the untimely passing of her dad.

“Tho [sic] I can’t really bring myself to discuss the passing of my father as yet; I can say it has been the most devastating loss of my life,” she wrote.

Nicki went on, saying that she finds herself “wanting to call him all the time. More so now that he’s gone. Life is funny that way. May his soul rest in paradise. He was very loved & will be very missed.”

In the month following Robert‘s passing, Nicki‘s mother moved to sue the man who was driving the vehicle that killed him.
