Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield star as televangelists in the new trailer for The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

By the end of the clip, Jessica looks almost unrecognizable as infamous televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, who rose to fame the 1970s and 80s in the for the religious broadcasting network she built with her husband Jim Bakker.

As the film’s plot summary says, “Tammy Faye was legendary for her indelible eyelashes, her idiosyncratic singing, and her eagerness to embrace people from all walks of life. However, it wasn’t long before financial improprieties, scheming rivals, and scandal toppled their carefully constructed empire.”

The movie also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Jaeger, Cherry Jones, Fredric Lehne, Louis Cancelmi, Joe Ando-Hirsh, Randy Havens and Gabriel Olds.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye is set to premiere in theaters on September 17.
