'Cruel Summer' Season 2 Might Look VERY Different Than the First Season

It was just confirmed that the hit Freeform series Cruel Summer will return for a second season, but it might look a lot different when season two comes around.

We’ve just learned some interesting new details about what might happen with the upcoming season of the popular series, which is executive produced by Jessica Biel.

Deadline just reported that “the mystery could return with a new story with the same characters and actors or using the same storytelling device featuring a whole new cast of characters.”

Freeform president Tara Duncan opened up to the outlet for a new interview and revealed she has not yet heard the idea for season two.

Deadline says that Tara “admitted that it could feature a new story with the same cast or, in anthology form, use the device of two points of view using multiple timelines with a new group.”

Jessica is the executive producer of The Sinner, which has featured a different cast and storyline every season with just Bill Pullman returning each year as the detective on the case.
