Duchess Kate Middleton Is In Isolation After Contact With COVID-19

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) has gone into self isolation after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for Coronavirus.

The palace released a statement, as the Duchess was supposed to attend an event tonight and now cannot. We’ve also learned when she found out about the contact.

“Last week The Duchess of Cambridge came into contact with someone who has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson told ET Canada. “Her Royal Highness is not experiencing any symptoms, but is following all relevant government guidelines and is self-isolating at home.”

The Duchess was alerted of the close contact on Friday (July 2) after she attended Wimbledon. She has been vaccinated against the virus.

The Duchess was supposed to attend a celebration for the National Health Service alongside Prince William tonight, but is now being forced to skip. This is the second royal event the Duchess has missed in just a few days time. Find out why she skipped another royal event last week…
