Blake Shelton Did Something Different For His Wedding Vows For Gwen Stefani
A lot of details about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani‘s weekend wedding were revealed earlier today from officiant Carson Daly.
From details about Gwen‘s dress, to where the ceremony was hosted, Carson shared them during an appearance on Today.
He also opened up about the duo’s special wedding vows for each other.

Carson revealed that Gwen went traditional with a speech, as they both were going to write their own vows.
“At the wedding, Gwen starts and she wrote this [speech] saying, ‘Since I was a little girl, blah blah blah’ and she crushes [it] — not a dry eye in the church,” he shared on the program. “… It was so perfect that I said to Blake when she was done, ‘Top that, buddy.’”
And Blake did just that – by singing Gwen a song.
Carson said that Blake told the guests at the wedding that Gwen has “always” given him a hard time about not writing enough songs, so he wrote one specifically for the occasion.
“Guitar comes in, stool, next thing you know, he wrote her a song, and he sings her a song, while he’s crying, that he wrote specifically for her. ‘Reach the Star,’ I think it was called,” he said. “Not a dry eye in the house. That was a highlight.”
There’s no telling if the song will ever be released, but, Carson shared that if it did, it “will put everybody in the wedding at that moment. You will be transformed onto that hilltop in the middle of Oklahoma.”
