Billie Lourd Wishes Merry Christmas to Those Who Lost a Loved One

Billie Lourd is sending a touching message to everyone who has lost a loved one and is missing them during the holiday season.

The 27-year-old actress is the daughter of the late Carrie Fisher and the granddaughter of the late Debbie Reynolds, who passed away within days of each other three years ago.

“Happy holidays! (But also sad/emotional/weird/stressful holidays!) Sending my love to everyone who has lost someone they loved and is missing them a little extra today. I see you,” Billie wrote on Instagram along with a childhood photo.

“It’s okay if everything ain’t all merry and bright. It can be a mix of all of it. And it’s all okay,” Billie added. “Feel all the feelings – the good and the not so good. Eat something delish they used to love. Put on one of their favorite songs. Tell a story about them. Cry about them. Call one of their friends you haven’t talked to in a while. Be kind and patient with yourself. Don’t grieve in silence. You’re not alone. ❤️”

Billie Lourd Releases Statement Slamming Unauthorized Biography About Mom Carrie Fisher

Billie Lourd is standing up for her mom Carrie Fisher against the upcoming unauthorized biography about the late actress.

The 27-year-old American Horror Story actress’ dad Bryan Lourd released a statement on behalf of his daughter disavowing writer Sheila Weller and her upcoming book, Carrie Fisher: Life on the Edge, saying that they had no knowledge of the book in advance.

“A person named Sheila Weller has taken it upon herself to sell and write an unauthorized biography based on my daughter’s mother, Carrie Fisher,” Bryan shared with People. “I do not know Ms. Weller. Billie does not know Ms. Weller. And, to my knowledge, Carrie did not know her. Ms. Weller sold this book on her own without our involvement.”

Bryan then went on to tell fans to read Carrie‘s own writings about her life instead.

“For all the fans and friends of Carrie, I just thought it necessary that you know this information before you decided to purchase this book or consider what is being said in the upcoming press interviews Weller will do while trying to sell it,” Bryan continued. “To be clear I haven’t read the book. The only books about Carrie Fisher worth reading are the ones Carrie wrote herself. She perfectly told us everything we needed to know.”

Carrie died after suffering a cardiac arrest back on December 27, 2016. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died the following day from a stroke.
