'Titans' Renewed on DC Universe for Season 2!

Titans is already coming back for more!

The Greg Berlanti-produced drama series will get a second season on the newly launched DC Universe platform, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on Wednesday evening (October 3).

The show stars Brenton Thwaites as the famed character Robin. You may know Robin traditionally from the Batman story lines, but this Robin appears to have a grudge against the famous superhero. At one point in the trailer for the upcoming series, Brenton‘s Robin says, “F*ck Batman.”

The series will premiere its first season on October 12. Watch the trailer below!

The first trailer for Titans, DC Universe’s debut show on their brand new streaming service just debuted – and it comes with a TV-MA warning for violence, adult themes, and explicit language!

The show stars Brenton Thwaites as the famed character Robin. You may know Robin traditionally from the Batman story lines, but this Robin appears to have a grudge against the famous superhero. At one point in the trailer, Brenton‘s Robin says, “F*ck Batman.”

In the trailer, we also see Raven, played by Teagan Croft, as well as alien Koriand’r/Starfire (played by Anna Diop), and Beast Boy (played by Ryan Porter).

“What’s a pirate’s favourite letter??? More soon! #titans #robinrevealed,” the 28-year-old actor teased the suit on Instagram.

Titans
is an “all-new live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. TITANS is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.”

The show will debut in 2018.

Brenton Thwaites to Star in DC Comics' New Series 'Titans'

Brenton Thwaites is set to star in the upcoming DC Comics series Titans, which will air on the comic book brand’s digital platform in 2018.

The show is being executive produced by Greg Berlanti, who is the man behind such shows as Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Riverdale.

Titans is about “a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe,” according to THR.

Brenton will play Dick Grayson, who is best known as Batman’s sidekick Robin. He becomes a mentor and leader to the Titans after striking out on his own.

“Dick Grayson is one of the most important and iconic heroes in the DC Universe, and it wasn’t easy to find him but we have. Brenton has the emotional depth, heart, danger and physical presence of Batman’s former protege and the Titans’ future leader. We’re extremely lucky he’s chosen to bring his talents to this project and this character,” executive producer Geoff Johns said in a statement.

Brenton is best known for starring in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, The Giver, and Maleficent.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales promo tour continues!

Johnny Depp got in-between his co-stars Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites while attending the Japan premiere of the anticipated film held at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel on Tuesday (June 20) in Tokyo, Japan.

Also in attendance were Japanese actors Chiaki Kuriyama and Taishi Nakagawa, who helped introduce the stars during the screening presentation.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is set to be released in theaters in Japan on July 1, 2017. The movie was released last month in the United States.

Brenton Thwaites Joins Heath Ledger's Family At Australians In Film Scholarship Dinner 2017!

Brenton Thwaites is dapper in a blue suit while hitting the red carpet at the 2017 Australians In Film Heath Ledger Scholarship Dinner held at the Sunset Marquis Hotel on Thursday (June 1) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 27-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star was joined by Cody Simpson, Patti Cake$ star Danielle Macdonald, Odessa Young, Nikolai Nikolaeff, Ben O’Toole and Olivia DeJonge at the scholarship dinner honouring the late actor.

During the event, the Ledger family – Heath‘s father Kim, mother Sally and his half-sisters Kate Ledger and Ashleigh Bell – helped announce Sydney actor Mojean Aria as the recipient of the prestigious scholarship.

Brenton Thwaites Admired Johnny Depp 'For So Long' Before Working Together on 'Pirates 5'

Brenton Thwaites was excited to be part of a star-studded cast for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The 27-year-old actor recently gushed over working with Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem on the film.

Johnny and Javier are actors I’ve admired for so long in my career, for years and years, since I was a boy,” Brenton told WWD. “To get the chance to see them work together was amazing. When I was in a scene with these guys, you learn a lot, you feel a lot, and you learn to improvise and be irreverent. When you’re watching greats like Geoffrey Rush and Johnny Depp work together, it’s like watching a play that won’t happen again. It’s a real gift.”
