The first images from Boy Erased are here!

The upcoming Focus Features film, set to hit select theaters later this year on September 28, debuted a series of pictures from the movie on Tuesday (May 22).

The movie tells the story of Jared (Lucas Hedges), the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town, who is outed to his parents (Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe) at age 19. Jared is faced with an ultimatum: attend a conversion therapy program – or be permanently exiled and shunned by his family, friends, and faith.

It was written and directed by Joel Edgerton, and based on a memoir of the same name by Garrard Conley.

The movie also co-stars Cherry Jones, Michael “Flea” Balzary, Xavier Dolan, Troye Sivan, Joe Alwyn, Emily Hinkler, Jesse LaTourette, David Joseph Craig, Théodore Pellerin, Madelyn Cline and Britton Sear.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child first opened in London in 2016 and officially opens on Broadway TONIGHT (April 22) at the Lyric Theatre.

Cherry Jones is set to play the mom of Elisabeth Moss‘ character in The Handmaid’s Tale season two.

The Tony and Emmy Award winning actress will appear in episode three of the series.

“She’s terrific literary character who’s now going to come to life for the first time and so it was important to me who that was,” Elisabeth told THR of the casting news. “I was obsessed with it for weeks and bothering everybody about it – way before anybody cared to talk about it. Cherry was my fantasy choice. I sent her the script, she wrote me a lovely email back and she said yes almost immediately.”

New episodes of the show will debut on Wednesday, April 25.

Cillian Murphy suits up for the premiere of his new film The Party on Tuesday night (October 10) at the Embankment Garden Cinema in London, England.

The 41-year-old actor was joined on the red carpet by his co-stars Cherry Jones and Kristin Scott Thomas at the premiere held during the 2017 BFI London Film Festival.

“After she receives a promotion and becomes the secretary of health, a British cabinet politician and her academic husband host a soiree for the political and intellectual elite that ends with blood on the floor,” Empire reports about the movie.

The Party will be released in the UK on Friday, October 13.

Neil Patrick Harris suits up to attend the opening night of King And I at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre in Lincoln Center on Thursday (April 16) in New York City.

The 41-year-old actor was joined at the event by Ethan Hawke and Cherry Jones.

The well-reviewed stars of the show, Kelli O’Hara and Ken Watanabe, got all dressed up after the show to attend the opening night party!

Neil recently revealed that he won’t be taking on any hosting gigs anytime soon.

“I’ve just spent a whole lot of time in another hosting capacity,” Neil told Broadway referring to the 2015 Oscars. “I think I’ll take a little respite.”

“I’m so proud of David. It’s great to see him do a Broadway show again; it’s been 10 years since the last time he was here,” Neil continued. “There’s been a lot of attention focused my way, and I’m so happy that the spotlight is shining back on him.”
