Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden has been cast in the role of Prince Charming in the upcoming live action Disney film Cinderella!

The 26-year-old actor will star opposite Lily James in the role of Cinderella and Cate Blanchett as the Wicked Stepmother.

Richard rose to fame as Robb Stark on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones and he has also appeared on various British television series.

Downton Abbey‘s Lily James has been cast as the title character in the upcoming live action version of Cinderella!

The 24-year-old actress will be co-starring alongside Cate Blanchett as the evil step-mother in the Kenneth Branagh-directed flick.

At one point, it was rumored that Emma Watson would take the role, but negotiations stalled.

The studio hopes to begin production later this year, with a 2014 release date in mind.
