Kate Hudson was almost named Rebecca!
Her mom Goldie Hawn revealed the story of how her name changed from Rebecca to Kate.
The story happened when Goldie was in labor with Kate in 1979.
“She kicked me so hard in my vagina that I changed her name right on the spot because she was tough,” Goldie told People. “I had named her Rebecca and on the 405 [freeway] I went, ‘This is a Kate.’”

Here’s a plot summary, via Deadline: “Hawn, Midler and Keaton’s characters are forced to spend the Christmas holidays together, along with their kids and grandkids, after the man they were all once married to drops dead in a New York City department store.”
Production is set to begin later this year.
“The chemistry of Diane, Bette and Goldie is unmatched and irresistible, and I’m thrilled to help reunite them on screen for generations of fans,” says producer Bradley Fischer.

The couple were spotted while making a stop at a clothing store on Monday afternoon (December 23) in Aspen, CO.

Kate kept warm in a cute furry coat paired with a leopard print zip up and leggings.
They were also joined by Kate‘s mom Goldie Hawn and some friends.
Over the weekend, Kate got some more shopping done with her brother Oliver.

Darby Camp will return as Kate, alongside Kimberly Williams Paisley as Claire and Judah Lewis as Teddy; with Julian Dennison as Belsnickel, and Jahzir Bruno as Jack.

Goldie Hawn is all smiles as she strikes a pose at the Child Mind Institute’s 2019 Change Maker Awards held at Carnegie Hall on Tuesday (May 1) in New York City.
The 73-year-old actress was honored at the event alongside Cleveland Cavaliers player Kevin Love, who was accompanied by his girlfriend, model Kate Bock.
Goldie was presented with her award by presenter Katie Couric, and then she hit the stage to open up about her childhood anxiety and how meditation helped her find happiness again.
“I lived with anxiety as a little girl,” Goldie told the audience (via People). “I thought the Russians were going to bomb us. I thought I could die without ever kissing a boy. I suffered anxiety every time I heard a siren.”
“I went for meditation because it was the thing to do, and when I did, it was like I can’t ever explain to you—it was the most joyful experience I’ve ever had,” Goldie later continued. “I felt like I returned back to my deepest part, to my heart, to my joy. It just hit this seed of joy that I always had as a young girl. Because all I ever wanted to be was happy. That was my goal.”
