Hannah Brown & Tyler Cameron Reveal If They Hooked Up During Quarantine

You may remember that Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron, exes who broke up during the finale of her season of The Bachelorette, actually quarantined together for several weeks at the beginning of lockdowns. Fans thought they were possibly dating during that time, but they’re now explaining everything.

“We were kind of leaning on each other. We were both going through things, and were kind of like each other’s support system all of a sudden. You of course have your family there, but it’s always nice to have someone to lean on as well,” Tyler said, referring to his mother’s sudden death and her brother’s overdose.

“I wanted to get away from my own trauma so I would say that I traded Tyler’s trauma for mine. I also wanted to be there for you,” Hannah added.

So they began their lockdown together, and Tyler added, “I made a rule. I’m not hooking up, I’m not doing nothing because I don’t want you to go away, and I go away and then we’re like ‘Oh I don’t feel that’ and we’re upset again at each other. We got upset with each other anyways.”

They were subject to a lot of fan frenzy though, and it got to them. “We were under pressure the whole time. People think we were hooking up the whole time… Never kissed,” she said, adding that they did sleep in the same bed.

Tyler then said, “I was in a hurt place, you were in a hurt place, we have a tough past. We’ve gone through a lot together and this was our first time really hanging out. I just wanted to work on it being a friendship. So if we stepped away and got away from each other and we wanted more, we could always go get more.”

She ended up leaving abruptly, hitching a ride with a friend from home. “By that time I was so—like I wasn’t very nice that day. You were definitely not nice that day,” Hannah said.

And where are they right now? She said they are “trying to be cool being friends.”

The Dancing With The Stars champion, who also went on to become the Bachelorette, last year, reflected on the experience in the post.

“Today feels really symbolic for me. As I get ready to move into a new home, I realize that I am starting a new chapter and closing another. (Which is a big deal because I’m usually rushing to the next chapter before I finish the one before!),” she wrote.

“I took a trip down memory lane this morning, looking at footage and personal journals from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and couldn’t help but feel a little proud of how much I’ve evolved since then. I recorded this video after one of the first few episodes aired of The Bachelor (probably in between the time I couldn’t make a toast and roared [rawr!] on camera) in January 2019! Oh sweet baby Han didn’t know then it was just the start of all the crazy mess she’d get into! I’ve had lots of highs and a lot of lows, and although I would prefer some things to have gone differently, I wouldn’t change a single thing. I’m thankful for every single one of my experiences and the subsequent moments of growth, and of course, I’m thankful for all of you! Tough times don’t feel so rough when you have some pretty great friends on the internet rooting for ya along the way! Cheers, to new beginnings y’all! 💛”

Hannah Brown Doesn't 'Want to Be an Ignorant White Girl Who Uses the N-Word' in New Apology - Watch

Hannah Brown is back with another apology video.

The 25-year-old former Bachelorette returned to her Instagram on Saturday (May 30) to share another apology for using a racial slur while rapping along with DaBaby‘s “Rockstar.”

“I attempted to talk, sing a popular TikTok dance and recited the N-word, and it was a part of the song. Initially I didn’t even know it was happening and I know it is wrong to say the N-word in a song, and I couldn’t imagine I had used it so I immediately denied it,” Hannah said.

“I tried to defend myself but between being intoxicated, which I’m also not proud of, and just being embarrassed and confused, I just made it a whole lot worse,” Hannah continued. “It wasn’t until the next morning that reality set in and I had said it. At that moment, there was a rush of emotions…I felt so much shame on me.”

Later on in her video, Hannah said she hopes to move forward by taking accountability for her actions.

“To be honest I didn’t know a lot, I don’t want to be ignorant anymore,” Hannah added. “I don’t want to be an ignorant white girl who uses the N-word, but I also don’t want to be someone who goes onto a platform intoxicated and engages in their platform that way.”

Hannah concluded her video with a message to her fans.

“If you want to support me, do not defend me. What I did, what I said was indefensible,” Hannah said. “I don’t need anybody to defend me for what I did because what I said, what I did was wrong. But I’m hoping that what I did was wrong but what I didn’t know even before is the worst part of it, and it’s the ignorance. I’m no longer ignorant and I’m no longer going to be part of the problem.”

Hannah vowed, “I will be a part of the solution, and you will see that. From the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry. I’m sorry to everyone I hurt and disappointed. I promise to continue doing better, I promise.”

The Bachelor's Caelynn Miller Keyes Was 'Hurt' Hannah Brown Was Chosen as 'Bachelorette' Over Her

The Bachelor‘s Caelynn Miller-Keyes is opening up about how she felt when Hannah Brown was given the title of The Bachelorette in 2019. At the time, Caelynn was also up for the job.

“I remember getting the call that it wasn’t me for Bachelorette and I was like, ‘Dang! That kind of sucks,’” she said on the “Almost Famous” podcast. “And then I found out it was [Hannah] at Women Tell All, we all kind of knew at Women Tell All that it was her. And it hurt. It definitely hurt.”

If you don’t know, Caelynn and Hannah both competed at the same time in the Miss USA pageant circuit and didn’t get along. Their drama was documented while they competed on Colton Underwood‘s season of The Bachelor.

Caelynn added, “It stung and I was upset and I was kind of led to believe that it was mine and then suddenly it wasn’t. It was Hannah’s. Looking back on previous seasons, it’s always been in the top four and then to branch out and to pick Hannah … it just hurt.”

If you missed it, Hannah has been involved in a big controversy.

Nick Viall Slams Hannah Brown's Apology Over Using Derogatory Term

Former The Bachelor star Nick Viall is slamming The Bachelorette‘s Hannah Brown for her apology over using a derogatory term during an Instagram Live.

“Listen, Hannah Brown has a massive platform. She has been very outspoken about her desire to be a role model specifically to young women out there. She has talked about it a lot. ‘When I was a young girl, this. When I was a young girl, that.’ And quite frankly, her going on Instagram Live—whether she was inebriated or not—and using that word in any context whatsoever is not being a role model,” Nick said on his podcast (via E! News). “Certainly not a good one. And she has to be held to a high standard. We all do. And it is very disappointing to see. Honestly, her initial response was disappointing.”

Nick continued, “She has since posted a written apology on her Instagram Stories that is set to expire. As Rachel said on her Instagram Live, that doesn’t read as sincere. We don’t know whether that came from her heart or if it came from her publicist,” he shared. “The only authentic reaction right now, as it stands as this Monday morning, is what she just said on her Instagram Live. Frankly, that’s a really, really terrible apology and really insincere and it comes across as, again, ignorant to what she’s speaking on.”

Hannah used the word while singing DaBaby‘s song “Rockstar.” Find out what her ex Tyler Cameron thinks of the controversy.
