Ilana Glazer is hard at work on the new season of Broad City on Tuesday afternoon (August 28) in New York City.

The 31-year-old star/co-creator of the show was spotted rocking her character’s signature quirky style in a blue tube top and rainbow pants as she spent the day filming in a park with guest star Rachel Dratch.

It was announced earlier this year that Ilana and Abbi Jacobson‘s Broad City has been renewed for a fifth and final season.

The final season of Broad City is set to premiere in early 2019.

The actresses stepped out for the event held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 on Monday (May 21) in New York City.

They were joined by Vanessa‘s co-stars Gillian Jacobs, Phoebe Robinson, Richard Madden, Augustus Prew, Humphrey Ker, and director Alex Richanbach.

Also in attendance were Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, and Ilana Glazer.

In Ibiza, when Harper’s two best friends Nikki and Leah tag along on her work trip to Barcelona, they ditch work and fly to Ibiza for Harper, who against her better judgement, falls for a hot DJ.

Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson‘s Broad City will be coming back for one final season.

“Broad City’s Abbi and Ilana may appear to be aimless and full of hair-brained schemes, but Abbi and Ilana IRL have proven to be stellar creator/writer/performer/director/producers,” Kent Alterman, President of Comedy Central, told Deadline. “Their supreme focus on telling new stories, in new worlds, with new talent is nearly scary.”

“It’s purely driven by creative storytelling. They came to us and said, ‘We think that we need to figure out how to resolve a final season.’ They have great ideas about how they want to end it, and the last thing we want to do is to have someone not end something on their terms,” he added.

The fifth season will air in 2019.

Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer made a fun appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (December 5) and revealed the inspiration behind the season finale of their hit Comedy Central series, Broad City!

The comedy duo told host Seth that spotting sexual photo shoots in New York City helped inspire parts of the season finale episode, “Friendiversary.”

“This episode is hyper exaggerated,” Abbi revealed, before Ilana added “yeah, actually the seeds of reality of this episode are that me and one our producers of the show have both seen sexual photo shoots happening from the West Side Highway.”

Abbi and Ilana also share their fondest memories of performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Chelsea and take a moment to talk about DACA.

Natalie Portman‘s infamous film Garden State may be the butt of jokes on Broad City but that didn’t stop her from becoming friends with series creators Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer!

After the 36-year-old actress jokingly expressed that the Garden State punchlines on the show made her insecure about the film, Abbi and Ilana reached out to apologize!

“Such a great show, maybe the funniest. I’ve sort of tangentially been on it because they make fun of Garden State all the time. So I love it, and I laugh at it, and I think it’s hilarious. But then people are like, ‘I love Garden State.’ Now I’m like, You’re a dork,’” Natalie explained to Vulture.

She added, “They’re really good friends with my second cousin, and they e-mailed me. They were like, ‘We’re so sorry. We love you. It’s just a joke.’ And I’m like, ‘I get it, I love you, too.’ And we’ve hung out.”

In fact, the trio ended up celebrating New Year’s Eve together in Paris!

The co-stars opened up about how President Trump‘s name will be bleeped out like a curse word every time it’s mentioned in the upcoming season’s episode “Witches.”

“We just got to a point where in real life we’re talking about the current administration, we’re talking about Trump every day and saying it so many times,” Ilana said (via TV Guide). “We just didn’t want to share air time. He’s got enough. We just don’t even want to hear the word.”

The new season of Broad City will premiere on Comedy Central on Wednesday, September 13.

Broad City stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer stopped by the SiriusXM studios at Comic Con 2017 held at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego on Saturday (July 22) in San Diego, Calif.

The pair discussed the fourth season of the show, which will be debuting on Comedy Central on August 23. Watch the trailer in case you missed it!
