Ryan Reynolds steps out on stage for the Free Guy panel during New York Comic Con on Thursday afternoon (October 3) at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

The 42-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, and Utkarsh Ambudkar, as well as director Shawn Levy.

The lucky crowd at the event got to see the first footage from the film, but we won’t get to watch it at home yet.

“On a very literal level, Free Guy is about Guy, who’s a bank teller. He works in a bank, and his bank gets robbed 17 times in a day, and eventually he realizes that’s weird and not normal,” Shawn said (via THR). “Ryan and I have talked about Free Guy as a superhero origin story without the cape and tights and the IP. If you were living in a video game and could master the system, your powers would be limitless.”

“I haven’t been this fully immersed, engaged and pumped [about] something since Deadpool,” Ryan said. “It spoke to the moment in some way.”

Netflix has officially renewed Stranger Things for a fourth season and a new announcement video is teasing a big detail about the upcoming storyline.

After the title for Stranger Things 4 is shown, the season’s tagline is revealed: “We’re Not in Hawkins Anymore.” It sounds like the fourth season is going to take us somewhere new!

Netflix has also announced that Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers have signed an overall deal with the streaming service.

“The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,” Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement. “We can’t wait to see what The Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down.”

The Duffer Brothers added, “We are absolutely thrilled to continue our relationship with Netflix. Ted Sarandos, Cindy Holland, Brian Wright, and Matt Thunell took a huge chance on us and our show — and forever changed our lives. From our first pitch meeting to the release of Stranger Things 3, the entire team at Netflix has been nothing short of sensational, providing us with the kind of support, guidance, and creative freedom we always dreamed about. We can’t wait to tell many more stories together — beginning, of course, with a return trip to Hawkins!”

Joe recently made headlines for his bowl-cut hairstyle that he wore to the Gabrielle Chanel Fragrance Dinner.

It looks like he still has the shorter hairstyle, but ditched the bangs.

Later in the weekend, Maika shared a selfie of her glam look from the premiere.

The 26-year-old actress was joined at the event by the film’s directors Dan Berk and Robert Olsen.

Here is the film’s synopsis: Mickey (Bill Skarsgard) and Jules (Monroe) are lovers on the run, headed southbound for a fresh start in the Sunshine State. When their car dies after a gas station robbery, they break into a nearby house looking for a new set of wheels. What they find instead is a dark secret and a sweet-as-pie pair of homeowners who will do anything to keep it from getting out.

The movie will be released nationwide on September 20.
