Mahershala Ali is getting nothing but praise for his role as Juan in Moonlight, but he admits it wasn’t the easiest thing to say goodbye to the character.

“Maybe I was just more open on this particular gig, but I learned so much from working on Moonlight. I was invested in a way that I can’t say I’ve ever been,” the 42-year-old admitted to W magazine.

“I want to be that invested on every project, but I would leave working on Moonlight to go work on something else – I was working on several things – and I would really miss Juan,” Mahershala added. “I would miss Barry [Jenkins]. It would kind of ache in a way that I wasn’t accustomed to. I missed being out there and staying in his skin. I definitely mourned saying goodbye to Juan.”

Johnny Depp is all smiles while hitting the stage in suit at the 2016 Rhonda’s Kiss Benefit Concert held at El Rey Theatre on Thursday (November 3) in Los Angeles.

The 53-year-old Oscar-nominated actor was joined by Zachary Levi, Brenton Thwaites, and performers Juliette Lewis, Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, Weezer’s Scott Shriner, Jane’s Addiction’s Dave Navarro, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, Velvet Revolver’s Dave Kushner and Queens of the Stone Age’s Joey Castillo at the event benefiting Rhonda’s Kiss, supporting programs to assist cancer patients in need, and helping those who receive a cancer diagnosis make ends meet during treatment.

“Cancer affects many lives and this year it was my family”s turn,” Johnny explained in the press release. “The team at Cedars-Sinai works tirelessly to help people in their darkest moments. Their work is invaluable to all of us, and I will support any opportunity to help shine a light on the cause through Rhonda’s Kiss.”

Ben Affleck is all smiles while on stage at the 2016 Elle Women In Hollywood Awards held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday (October 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 44-year-old actor was joined at the Hearts on Fire-presented event by Bellamy Young, Katie Lowes, Chelsea Handler and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Other attendees included Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland, Odette Annable, Annabelle Wallis, Vivica A Fox, Catherine Hardwicke and Juliette Lewis.

Anna and seven other women were recognized for their achievements in the industry and were each featured on their own cover of the magazine.

The 73-year-old filmmaker is being honored with the Friars Club Entertainment Icon Award for his accomplishments in the entertainment industry that redefined the culture.

Martin is the seventh recipient of the award in the club’s 100-year history. Past recipients include Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, Tony Bennett, and Frank Sinatra.

Emma Roberts and Dave Franco walk the carpet at the premiere of their film Nerve on Tuesday (July 12) in New York City.

The actors were joined at the event by their co-stars Emily Meade, Juliette Lewis, and Samira Wiley.

Earlier in the day, Emma, Dave, and Emily, along with directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, made an appearance at AOL Build.

Juliette Lewis makes her arrival to the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 42-year-old actress took to Twitter earlier in the night to respond to her father, Geoffrey Lewis, being snubbed during the In Memoriam tribute. Geoffrey passed away back in April of 2015.

“I know @TheAcademy didn’t mean to overlook my dad #GeoffreyLewis in the memorium. who was beloved by so many,” Juliette wrote on Twitter. “My dad #GeoffreyLewis was beloved and contributed over 220 roles in film and tv. @TheAcademy maybe you can remember to include him nxt yr”
